Can't wait, I wasn't super hard on the break-in at all, drove like a grandpa around the city most of the time. I probably opened her up with a "spirited" approach a handful of times, maybe chirped tires 2-3 times.

I do mostly highway driving 5x a week so much of my break-in was on the highway at speeds of 75-80mph.

Any recommendations on what to do after break-in? Oil change? Transmission fluid change? Differential fluid change? Tighten anything on the chassis?

Yes, get that machine off that big sand spit and go drive around in the hills, before winter sets in ..... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...es/driving.gif

Not sure I have the time (or money) for a trip like that right now :/ BUT Clermont and Northern Florida actually does have some fun hills, probably nothing compared to what you're used to but the Clermont area has got quite a bit of rolling elevation in a really rural area. Might be fun :)

Should I turn of the traction control when I'm out there?

Well I get a free oil change from the dealer.

I read to keep the oil at 0W-20 or 0W-30, can anyone recommend a good high performance brand?

Royal Purple has been recommended to me a few times.

Time to boost it:thumbsup: I also remember that feeling. I drove everywhere just to put the miles on it. Milk, stamps, butter, more milk, and even drove to the mailbox. Time to enjoy it now!

Congrats! I remember the first 1000 miles. I am going to turn 30k soon.

Well, OK ..... maybe next summer .....

If you are on public roads and/or roads that are unfamiliar to you ..... I would leave all the nanny systems ON.

Yea, I know, I ain't no fun .... :(

PS - if you haven't checked the oil level lately, you may wish to do so ..... my FR-S used about a quart of oil during the break in period ...... but hasn't used any significant amount since .... :)

Well, I'll be keeping my car N/A I'm somewhat of a purist when it comes to a machine. However, the parts I do want to change is anything that makes the integrity of the car stronger/lighter/more responsive. So if that means changing steering bushings, brake cables, control arm, etc. Then I am bound to do that.

I do want to add an intake and exhaust but the sheer amount of choices is making my head spin.

Perrin Resonated Cat-Back with Takeda Intake
TRD Cat-Back with TRD Intake (not really a fan of the TRD Intake)
Invidia N1 Catback with APEXI Drop in Filter
ARK Cat Back with Takeda Intake

The combos are endless.

I want the cleanest, most efficient and most enjoyable performance/sound, I don't want to compromise anything.

I have perrin and absolutely love it. I'd say leave the intake alone. I have revworks header, and perrin headerback and am going to be tuned on the 30th and I am not touching the intake. Everything ive read shows there are too minimal gains to make it worth while

How has the performance been up to that point? Any issues experienced at all? Has performance remained constant and reliable? I've read that the engine on this car really starts to come alive after a few years of driving. Is that true?

I'm probably only going to do a cat-back is that still worth it? Also, I don't want to mess with the ECU. Car is under warranty, it's my daily driver to a from work, so I need a warranty to cover the car should anything go wrong.

My dealer told me that even if I install an aftermarket exhaust they'll warranty the car, especially if I have them install it. They'll install it for 75 bucks, that's not bad if I can find a good price on an exhaust.
