Will 3" header back = deeper sound?

So, while I don't know too much about the science behind the parts I choose for my, I do know a little about music. In music, a larger tube would equal a lower tone. So would going from 2.5" header back to 3" header back make a deeper tone?

This is independent of performance. I'm just curious about the sound.

Refer to this post. I'm discussing this now with one of the downsides of an N/A 3" exhaust.

3" catback will produce a deep nice sound. When you add more to it, you'll introduce rasp, but it will still be fairly deep.

Pretty sure everyone on this forum would hate my car. lol I have 2.5" overpipe and midpipe, catless, with a 2.5" muffler delete. I want maximum power. Rasp be damned. I love the sound of the Griffon 86 car and its raspy I guess.

3" may increase your power some, but only the dyno would have the true answer to that. Most people will speculate about back pressure, and yada yada. I say let the dyno do the talking.
