If you don't know by now, shot 3

Will be painting them a satin black to not stand out so much with my Asphalt FRS....

Nice. I have the carbon ones on their way. Weird how the painted ones only seem to come in white, red or black.

Where did you order these from? I've been looking for them but haven't had any luck finding them on japanparts

I wanted the carbon fiber ones...but couldn't justify the price. I'm excited to get rid of the stock FRS fender vents which I never cared for.

Was wondering what the unpainted natural color would be on these and turns out it's a scale model type ABS gray....

Any update on the finished product?

Vracer111 12-26-2013 09:50 PM

I've been busy with family and such since November and waiting on being able to be off work since it's dark by the time I leave, but I actually painted it 2 days ago (~ 5 coats of satin black + 3 light clear coat layers) and am waiting a few more days to install it. Should have it on next week. I just took a picture of the paint job, will post it up in a little bit.

And here's the picture:

Nice, can't wait to see the installed pics!

mfbmike 12-27-2013 12:17 AM

In for installed pictures.

Just wondering, how secure it is after installed? can it be pull off ?

my TRD tag was pulled off from my front spolier and some attemps on my clear side markers... I am really worry on these parts...

Vracer111 12-28-2013 06:16 PM

And the TRD fender vents are installed...pardon my dirty car.

First two pictures are after the stock ones were removed...

Cleaned up the area where the vents go, got most of the adhesive off and area dried and installed the TRD ones on both sides. Then did 2 layers of wax on the vents. The rest of the pictures are the TRD ones installed...

Stock fender "vents" are pretty easy to pull off...I think these will be a little harder though due to how the adhesive strips run horizontally top and bottom at the rear and there is actually an adhesive pad at the front where OEM doesn't have one.
