How is your car? Any plans?

The FR-S is awesome! Have almost 30,000 miles on her, and next week is the 1-year birthday! haha

I do have plans to modify the suspension, exhaust, throw on a widebody kit & wing, but she's stock (minus the wheels) as of now while I work on my rx7.

Are there any crazy GT86 builds in your area?

Very nice..<3 rx7.

Of course there are crazy GT86 builds, total 86 conversions, complete track car, supercharged, turbo. Although we have those who mod, i still think stock is more common.

If you want to see mods look at hawaii's 86s, all of them have crazy mods - just not many nice roads like here to drive on :D

Nice to meet more ladies! I'm actually planning on moving to NorCal this fall, so I hope I will get to meet some of you in person. :3

No major plans for the FRS right now, just a few cosmetic things so far. I'm still honeymooning so I don't even want to mess with performance yet. Stoked for the drive through Canada and the northwest US. <3

Haha, what a warm reception! :3

My lease here is up at the end of July, so some time around then. I'm super excited and I can't deny that owning this car was a major factor in my decision to move somewhere warmer! I'm missing it like mad right now, had to garage it for the winter. My truck is great too, but it's just...not the same.

This is going to make me sound like such a wuss, but...

I agree it would've been sweet, just not with the winter here. It's been so icy I would've destroyed the paint clearing snow off if not completely totaled the car on the roads. Not to mention the gravel tossed everywhere.

I don't regret it now that I've seen the roads this year. I just hope winter ends on time so I can get back out!! It lasted till June last year. I can't take that again. lol

Fair enough, the weather here has been amazing. Better to be safe than sorry. You will love it when you get here!

Ladies, I'm not usually one to jump to the "you're a sexist pig" conclusion, but I've seen a lot of negative assumptions made about female drivers/owners of the twins lately (on this forum and elsewhere) and it really bothers me. Am I just being super sensitive or have you noticed too?

It's always "oh, she just thinks it's pretty" or "she's a dumb bitch" or "chicks like that don't deserve this car"...I don't get it. Pretty sure our gender, as a whole, hasn't done anything to incite this bitterness. :iono:

Fuck those people. I saw a young mother with two kids in the back of her red FRS yesterday with a big smile on her face as I drove past. I thought it was awesome. Wither she's a gear-head or just likes the car, the only requirement should be a smile :D

PS: I am guy and I think my car is pretty.

I think the remarks made by those people stated above make them look bad and frankly, anyone can see that. :iono:

The norcal scene is very nice and we have a pretty strong female community. One of the norcal board members the community voted for is a female owner. We just had a meet last Saturday and we counted 6 female owners . People can say or think what they want but if you enjoy the car that is the ONLY thing that should matter. We are all on the forum for one commonality and that is to share our enthusiasm and love for the twins. <3

essssraaa 04-01-2014 01:34 AM

So last December I went car shopping and I really wanted a BRZ or FRS but couldn't justify it with all the shitty new york weather and various other reasons and ended up going with a 2014 Mini Paceman Cooper S model (which was a lot of fun). Two months later I accepted a job and Cali and relocated. Two nights ago, I handed over the keys of my Mini for this beauty....
