@MizzKiMi thinks so too. Are we doing a ladies meet ONLY? Or we can just pick one of the Dublin meets every 2nd Friday or a Southbay midweek meet?

What do you norcal ladies think? :w00t:

I'm up for a ladies meet. We seem to be evenly spread out around the bay, not including those outside the area. Whatever works is fine by me.

Spotted a Female driver in a Whiteout on 280S this morning.. We ended up exiting at the same place off of Trousdale and you ended up at Mills Peninsula.. I was in my G35x not my Crystal NorCalGirl this morning :) are you on here?

Hi, my name is Alexis. Long time lurker and finally registered--thought this would be a perfect first post. I have had my BRZ since October. My BRZ is named Tommy, after the cars salesman who sold it to me. I am strictly just for aesthetics, any cosmetic upgrades, with Tommy. I also drive a lot. A lot. I have already racked 5k and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Hi girls! Can't believe I just found this thread. :D I compete in TT/HPDE/PDX and autox (CSP), and my ultimate goal with my BRZ is weight reduction. Thus far, I've completed my entire exhaust build. I'm in the middle of finishing my transmission build. I've done some weight loss modifications as well. Will begin suspension shortly after.

Hopefully I'll get a build thread up soon. I wanted to wait until my car was "ready." I'll take some pics this weekend, although she doesn't look like much.

That's amazing!! You're going to have a blast :party0030: The best pointers I can give is:
  • Always look ahead. (I can't stress that enough)
  • Never brake (or downshift) in a turn; always hit them before.
  • Go at a pace you're comfortable with. It's important to get to know the car first before pushing it at the track.
  • Turn in at neutral throttle, and when you begin to exit the turn (when you begin straighten out), start using full throttle. (slow in, fast out)
  • Once your laps are finished, you'll want to prevent heat soak which may cause your car to stall. If there isn't a cool down lap, try to drive around after a bit to keep your revs up. Also, put your heat on full blast; it will direct the engine heat to inside the car. During your cool down lap or if you need to drive the car around, avoid using the brakes. Never engage the e-brake after a session.
  • Use a full synthetic oil prior to the track if you can. Upgraded brake fluid is always helpful - I recommend ATE. I believe its amber fluid is street legal.
Check your brake pads after your sessions. They may or may not need to be changed, depending on how hard your local track is on your brakes.

Have fun! I'd love to see pics :)

Hi! Sorry it's taken me forever to get back on the forum! That's not happening again :)

I'm Alexis, MannyO's gf, I'm all the way up in New Hampshire!
Wishing I was out west enjoying the beautiful weather right about now though!

denkigrve 01-21-2014 08:58 PM

Posted in @ftc~brz build thread already, but glad you're okay. Harford road has some tricky spots. I haven't driven it in 9 years since I moved out of state, but I used to drive on a daily basis in m AE86. I used to drive from Bel Air to Cockysville when I lived out in Bel Air, before that I was in Reisterstown/Glyndon and driving to Cockysville. The back roads out there are fun, but super sketch at times.

Winter weather, AE86 with open diff and summer tires. Those were good times. So many good times.

Hi Alexis! Thanks for posting on the thread!! Wow, you are very far... yes, the weather in California is quite nice right now. Unfortunately, a good bad thing since they say this is a drought.

How is your car? Any plans?
