*Phastek* Winjet Coverage @ SEMA 2013 - JDM Replica Headlights, Fogs, Tails
ORDER Thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52141
It was a pleasure meeting with the Winjet booth @ SEMA 2013. They have a few goodies that I think will interest owners here. http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psd4f5fee2.jpg Winjet Booth Video [ame="http://youtu.be/57NxtXiG65o"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pj84fdePWa8[/ame] Picture Media http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...pscf5124c4.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps0e2b0764.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psccdfee12.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psf98da627.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psd75bde8a.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psf107a841.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps86eced20.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps542e8cd8.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps4e48fb91.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psd7684a2b.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psa3a41b99.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps3bbf2f31.jpg http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psec122902.jpg The headlights are JDM replicas. This means no halos, no turn signals etc. For the tails, there are 4 colors available including smoked lens over black housing and red lens over black housing. The projector is currently h7. This is most likely the same projector used in the Spyder lights as well. Bi Xenon high beam and low beam. Think Mishimoto retrofit... Cutoff will most likely be not as sharp but "acceptable" for most. Here's a straight plug and play kit I used in an h7 halogen projector: http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...00k_Spyder.jpg These lights are made in Taiwan. Don't be surprised if they all share the exact same projector. The cutoff should be decent. |
I like like like.
Any idea when these will be available and estimated price? |
These headlights look great. Not over done with halo's or cheesy wanabe Audi LEDs every where. Id be very interested in these depending on price...if they are just as much as the real JDM (or 10 series) headlights then why bother. Might as well get the real thing.

NOTE: This is not a sales thread. I am relaying manufacturer's numbers. Their minimum advertised pricing guideline will dictate how vendors sell the item. |
Great photos, I hope they are reasonably priced. I really love how they have the rear spoiler integrated into the trunk lid. Looks clean!

NICE praise the JDM headlight gods....
To the guys who said they COULDNT make the headlights look OEM due to copyright laws.... told ya so :laughabove: |
|
I'd highly consider the replicas. I mean, close enough.

The Winjet headlights look very good. Now question for us FRS owners..
If we want to couple the Winjet headlights with an aftermarket HID kit, since there is only a single H7 projector lens on each headlight, does it mean that we need an H7 HID kit that has dual beam for both low beam and high beam? Also, on our stock headlights, the DRL is basically the high beam if I am correct.. on these JDM replica lights, does that mean the LED strip will handle the DRL duty (which is preferred), while the low beam and high beam will function independently? They SHOULD be just like their other prototype and have a cutoff adjuster....

Thanks. Was able to find a little more about the company's website.. apparently these are already on their site:

I was hoping to see more then the DRL on. Like others have stated to understand the projector. If it was made to avoid the squirrel finder, low and high beam into one? Need more info like that, pretty important stuff IMO. When are you expected to have them on shelf and more details?
