foot well lighting activated by parking light/headlight
has anyone wired their foot well lights to the parking lights/headlights ? if so what wires do you tap into... or do you have to go all the way and connect it to the stalk. I would imagine there are some wires underneath the drivers side dash to connect to...

If you have a manual and don't have those indicator lights, you could always tap into the wire behind the headunit. I believe it's the orange wire but don't quote me on that. |
This is how the factory option foot well lighting is wired

so the oem ones from subaru are like 160.
went to autozone picked up these strips for 20 bucks. there's a purple wire that connects to the hu (for bespoke) that is connected to the headlights switch that dims it, i tapped into that and bam. |

But basically, theres four or so plastic connectors with a bunch of wires (For bespoke) and the one on the far left there's a purple wire that dims the radio when the headlights are on. I shaved the insulation off it and wired the positives to it. I checked by turning the car on and turning the lights on and whatnot.. for the ground there's some random holes in the frame behind it, I got a terminal and bolted it to it. |
