Can anyone lend me a helmet for a track event Fri?

Haven't been to the track in a long time and just realized my helmet is an SA2000. Supposed to be a 2005 A or M. Size is L, maybe also fit a Med.

I could buy an M rated tonight, but if I am going to spend $, I'd rather shop for a good SA when I have more time.

I promise to return it clean and perfect or I will replace it. If you can help, please text me at 714 2 six 3 5232

South OC helpful just due to the short time between now and then.

Thanks!
Mike

I don't have one yet; but Simpson Performance Products is having an end on the year sell on Dec. 7 in Harbor City. That is were and when I'll get mine, and it will be Snell SA 2010 certified. :-)

Sorry for the side note, doesn't really help you now

Interested as I will be needing a new helmet for next year. Is this 'sale' going to be on their website simpsonraceproducts.com?

Thanks,
Nate

just go to the helmetman.com they are physically in costa mesa so you can pick up a great helmet for under 300 any time you please. also, do yourself a favor and buy either the pyrotect pro airflow or hjc ar10-2. hell they might even have one of those new pyrotect pro sport which is only like $200

I don't know if it will be online but I'm sure this being a large company they would have other locations doing the same at the same date. I would call the closest one and just ask. Wish I was more helpful, sorry.

You'll be fine with the SA00. It's unlikely they'll actually check.

mistressmotorsports 11-09-2013 03:46 PM

They didn't, but I wound up borrowing a new Pyrotect anyway. Better to be safe. Fine event, lots of track time. Did a little instructing, which helped me to re-learn the track. Got down to 2:09 on stock tires. Not sure how that compares to other stock cars on stock tires. There was probably a little time left, since I lifted into the banking, but I don't think it's necessary, and I'm sure I left some time into the hairpin.

Btw, the pedal dance is definitely your friend on the track. I did the traction control button the first session, and I could feel the nannies working against me when trail braking. I did the pedal dance the rest of the day.

Thanks for the pads, Mike. I haven't taken them off yet to see what they look like, but they were trouble free all day. I'll get with you separately on my thoughts on them.

What track did you run at?

mistressmotorsports 11-13-2013 02:51 PM

Auto Club Speedway. Had a great time. Took me about a session and a half to get anywhere close to competent after being off the track for a few years. I'm still not all the way back, but I at least had some ok laps towards the end of the day.
