Mind you, I only work in the Southbay for half the week so if you're familiar of any other social spots that serve appetizers/warm drinks, let's hear it. Another place I had thought of was a Ten Ren Tea (Cupertino). We all can prefer a nice, centralized location and easy to/from the freeway. So share your ideas and locations.

McCarthy Ranch Starbucks is always an option and familiar with a lot of folks.

@MyRx, that place works for me. A possible location for some other week could be Twinkle Boba Cafe (46132 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539). It's near LeMans Karting/off of Mission Blvd, so it's close to 880 and 680. I'm usually there most Wednesdays at 9pm and onwards for a Subaru meet (all other cars are welcome) that's been going on there for a while now. There's a few restaurants as well in the same plaza as Twinkle.

The closer to east bay, the better for me, so Fremont would be better for me. What about union landing?

well... the topic does say SOUTH BAY so it seems a bit appropriate to keep the meets in the South Bay LOL. For the East Bayers who can't make it down that far, there is always the Toy Drive/Dublin MNG this Friday at Dublin Toyota. Remember to bring some new toys for the hospital to whichever event you can attend!

To be discerning, I'm hoping this could stay in the Southbay. South of Milpitas and beyond. IMO, Southbay has a large enough population that they can have their own meet(s) leaving the Eastbay folks to flinch about "the distance". Likewise, Eastbay has their meets (ie, Dublin meets) that some Southbay'ers wish they could attend if without the distance. Anyone else can call an Eastbay meet, if so you choose to be more frequent than Dublin meets, and see the crowd that follows. I don't ever expect a 30 car turnout but as an option of Southbay'ers to realize, "Hey, it's not always an Eastbay location".

I've been working in Santa Clara for many years and religiously, I've always spent my last work day (Tues/Wed) doing something after work. Be it happy hour, coffee, dinner, or more recently in the last year, driving up the mountains with other 86 owners. Kind of my way to start my false-Weekend early, before surrendering to the responsibilities of home life. So until the suns sets later again, commingling with the local crowd in an informal, convenient way, is good to set the remaining week off.

Definitely coming to this meet tomorrow regardless of where it is. My company just moved offices to SJ so... South Bay or bust (at least on weekdays)!

My brother had a flat tire on the way back from class so I went to bring him tools and watch him change the tire. Didn't feel like fighting more traffic after that.

My flight just landed. Definitely not going to make this week.

Tonight was a good turnout. I wasn't expecting that many cars. It was nice meeting some new people! Looking forward to next week. haha

Good time last night, was nice "commuting" home at 9pm. There sure was a good turnout of white 86s! At a certain point I thought that was the only color that was going to show up.

Nice to meet everyone! I counted around 17 86's at one time, but I know 5-6 left before that. Can't wait for the next one!

Good people and fun times. I certainly enjoyed everyone's company. New faces and old...catching up and and new discussions. 👍👍👍
