Find an address and let's try next week :). Some dinner around or same plaza would be good too.

Sorry that I missed the festivities. Since I will be gone most of the day on Saturday with the Livermore meet and greet I stayed home with the wife and we played some Stick of Truth :D

BRZChix 03-11-2014 10:38 AM

@MyRx what's going on this week? ;)

BRZChix 03-11-2014 10:46 AM

Actually several of the 86s drivers and I are planning to watch Need for Speed on Thursday night at either 9PM at Century Great Mall or AMC Mercado to avoid the weekend crowd.

PM me if you guys want to join so we can decide where to meet for that...

other than that midweek is still on either Tuesday or Wednesday and @MyRx will have all the details

My schedule has been hijacked by offsite training, I can't do Wed this week. However, your Thursday plan sounds fun if you want to advertise it as a Southbay meet.

As a trend, Wednesdays at @FiRSt seems like a good option for others for its convenience. So as usual, Southbay can decide.

Hey guys. Just throwing out a recommendation since there seems to be 3 standing weekly meets now. In an attempt to avoid conflicting dates and keep turnout high, maybe set the meets to a specific day of the week at this point. SF Tuesday, South Bay Wednesday, East Bay Thursday (I will be posting up in those threads with the recommendation as well).

Obviously I dont attend all these meets so my my opinion doesnt really matter, but just throwing it out there.

Edit: for special events like nfs movie dont feel discouraged from an exception to the meet night. This was more moving forward with the regular meet

I think this is a good idea. And also setting a default, consistent location for each meet makes some sense too. It can certainly be moved from time to time for variety's sake but it's nice to have a default spot. For South Bay the First St Five Guys location seems to be a favorite. Discuss. :)

I'm sticking to the roots of this thread, being "midweek". So yeah, Wednesday's been the standing order. 237 @FiRSt appears convenient for people so yeah, that works too.

That said, I do enjoy where this community (SB in particular) is going. They are getting together on other days to hang out, do things together, online and offline. I still remember the early days where folks would stand around, frightened, shy, maybe even didn't want to be there, but now are the center of attention, they've become the inviter as well as the invitee.

The 86drive founders have spent many days and drives conjuring up ideas to build this community, all of the communities. We've tackled each other's schedules and challenged personal lives so that its not always between he and I but more of US. And I think it's succeeding.

Regardless where and how you meet, sharing stories face to face in the company of others that can relate, is a big win for all. So meet on! Whether it be at a bowling alley and karaoke or in front of the big screen, meet on!

We like the Five Guys at @FiRSt because it has decent outdoor seating with overhead heater (which was very handy when it was in the 40's). It is also on the northern end of South Bay which makes it a little more convenient for others to attend if they want to hang with us.

However, we like to switch it up each week but if we want to make it a regular spot then that is okay by me. And, I am sure @SeanBlader would like that :happyanim:
