Agreed, but I drove @thejevans 20 year old Miata with a dead clutch last night...more fun than you can have with a BRZ on the street.

Dude the rears haven't even generated enough heat to bake the paint off the pads yet :)

Thanks Dave. That's a pretty strong endorsement of Essex's decision not to develop a rear solution.

I was recently PM'd with some questions.

No, don't run the rotors until they're this thin! We replaced ours when we saw this :)

PM us for pricing and specials, but please post questions in this thread so that we can share the knowledge with everyone!

Slightly off topic... Endurance kit love:D

The pro pilot who drives the car below in the BTCC ( significant limey racing series:thumbsup: ) did a few laps of Silverstone in my BRZ on Sunday, and I quote him exactly ; "the brakes are very good; superb"

LOL not really.

Just saying that I still would have run those rotors you removed. I guess I should have said "until they crack through and through" :)

In the Brembo world they suggest 31MM as min thickness for a 32MM rotor, but that's crazy talk :) I've seen them run much further without issue. Of course I'm not that smart... sooo...

Remember I only removed that one on mine because it cracked through (you do have a crack in that one but I'm not sure if it's through the disc?). The otherwise was arguably (based on pics only) as worn as yours. I replaced it because I had 4 spares and didn't feel like messing with it later since I already had it off the car. :thumbup:

Jeff already covered my desire to abuse brakes to the point of failure ;)

I see your crack and raise you... shattered?

We really do test products as thoroughly as we can; this failure is NOT normal. This was done on the 400hp CSG S2k.

Yeah you failed on that one worse than I've ever failed with any brake system.

I did bust a caliper seal (rebuilt ITR not an AP one!) this weekend.

I don't know if I should take this as a compliment or LMAO statement...hahaha :lol::lol::lol: :bellyroll::bellyroll::bellyroll:

Obviously a testament of how fast our setups run...:)

LOL I still think that was a defective rotor. Not saying you guys aren't fast, but that's just too much of a failure to be normal since I'm pretty confident that you guys actually inspect your rotors at least once a day during a DE.
