Are those door panel armrest blk leather or alcantara like the ones that come in the tS?

monkeybike 04-02-2018 02:06 AM

I think they are the same as the tS?

Top of the door is alcantara.
The "armrest" near the handle is black leather with red leather stripe and perforated leather around it.

Do you have the part number for the top? I think it might be this one?:

Which is the "ultrasuede"

The arm rest with the red stripe is out of the original TS:

That red leather works really well with the red on the arm rest. I was thinking about adding that piece, but I'm not sure how it would look in mine without the red bolsters.

I really want those alcantara top pieces too, but I think my 2 year old would ruin them.

I don’t. It’s all standard in my one.

Thank you!

Need to update my interior photos. The armrest is installed, and the silver trim is now carbon fiber.

Those are some really fancy gauge clusters!

New Mats

I just got my BRZ about a month ago and I love it.

I picked up these mats that protect the original carpet material.

What do you think?

jordan7831 05-10-2018 10:48 AM

Where did you get the mats?

A place called Mat Metrics. Based out of Markham.

I found them on instagram of all places.

Breaking my heart, I wanted this ArtWerks Dewa cluster setup so bad, but sadly the owner passed away. Had a similar one in my Miata.

Thank you! Here's some info from my old build thread:

I found the Toyota Hub Cap 2994 had a detachable "T" logo with similar dimensions of our Scion steering wheel badge, instead of the oversized "T" that most people use.
https://i.imgur.com/CFfS1YX.jpg

I used a precision cutter to trim the inner part of the Scion badge and fitted the "t" inside
https://i.imgur.com/Gn4Ocxc.jpg

Found a piece of leather with similar pattern used in the cover.

Painted the ring flat black and the badge in black chrome:

Thank you for all the info, I appreciate it! That's some ingenious use of materials and the old Scion Logo

The end result looks phenomenal - I'll see if I can try something similar....the Loden '86' plastic emblem just isn't doing it for me.

My apologies for reviving a thread from 2018, but for the first I have some decent interior shots of my car...right as I'm selling it

These are nice. Mines all gutted so I can take it camping.

DatBackflipTho 10-27-2020 06:16 AM

Old picture of mine. Just remove the bride seat and add in Katzkin leather seats

Theses seats now:

Nice choice of seats, man. How much did you buy them for?

The sued began to fade a bit, and also i had other ideas for the interior so i switched to the all black trim.

and a full shot of my interior then

Also here is a little mod that i personally LOVE...a courtesy light. most higher end cars have them and its so subtle but makes a huge difference. at night i always find myself looking for the heated seat buttons or i can't see whats in the cupholders and i dont want to turn my dome light on...so this is PERFECT in photos its really hard to make it out but its just really soft red lighting that makes it possible to see the center console at night but it isn't distracting at all. i'll let the pictures explain:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8390/8...e0224b2f_b.jpg

test fit LED, make sure tip of LED is inside the hole, and aimed at a slight angle towards the rear:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8392/8...0a83db64_b.jpg

then mount the LED in place:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8096/8...450b1b93_b.jpg

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8389/8...d5ef39df_b.jpg

i just wired it to my radar, just a power and a ground. thus it will be on when ignition is on...and off when car is off. really simple.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8392/8...7f5bb40b_b.jpg

and finished product:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8227/8...57f2a201_b.jpg

can see at night what it does, but the cellphone can't capture how thin the light spreads...its really barely noticeable but perfect to see interior.

Never thought of wrapping/painting the chrome bits in black or the courtesy light...http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/c...nfused0006.gif nice idea to add to my "diy mod" list.
