Nice! It really does look amazing. Is the black powder coat?
I wasn't saying Instagram is a bother to anyone. It's just that I'm sure I am not the only one that doesn't want an Instagram account and all the stuff. |
Thanks, yes its powder coated semigloss black for durability.
No worries man it wasnt towards you specifically, ive seen alot of people complain about "edited" pics or "filtered" pics in other threads so figured id excuse my self from the beggining lol |
Will it work without the ht auto lip?
|
Yea it will, the reason i made the splitter aluminum was because i broke a lip while scraping so i figured i would make a splitter that would also serve as a "skid" plate. If you look in the pics you will see i welded brackets onto my car, 2 where the stock tow hooks are under the car, 2 coming down from the crash beam and 2 which are not in the pic but are welded on the bottom of the radiator core support. The reason i welded on was because it was much easier for me to do that than making a bolt on system and by doing this i knew i would not have to worry about bolts coming loose from vibration and i knew any down force that was produced would defenetly be transfered to the frame bringing the entire front end down. In all honesty to me this is the best and fastest way to mount it but i know some people might not want anything welded on to their car so i will work on developing a bolt on system. Anyone who does weld the brackets on and changes their mind down the road can simply cut them off or grind them off and the car will be like nothing ever happened. Lastly once the brackets are welded on the splitter uses 12 flush mount bolt on the bottom which hold the splitter to the car and makes the splitter 100% removable by simply removing the 12 bolts. The splitter fits cars with no lip, ht autos lip, and most of the carbon fiber lips like the chargespeed, and apr lip... Because i custom make the brackets i set the height of the splitter so it sit higher for those with no lip and lower for those with lips...

Splitter is definitely more sexy in person! Let me know and we can try one out on my BRZ :)
