Is there a way to do this? I don't care about the 60000 post on a thread from last year. I want new original content.

That gives newest posts of any kind. I want original posts that start new threads. So sorting by newest threads would be a better way to put it.

Honestly I don't think that feature would be very useful.

But now I understand more what you mean and perhaps a "jump to first unread post" would be a plausible solution. Not sure the feasibility of implementing it though.

It would be extremely useful. New posts get buried quickly by responses to months old posts. It should not be that hard to allow a sort by thread creation date. Or maybe it is. I'm no programmer.

I know some forums have a feature to jump to first unread post. Not sure if it is an option on the code bought or what though because I don't see it in many forums.

Any admins have input?

I would like that as well. It would be a nice way to quickly see new topics vs the same 5-10 pagers that keep being bumped to the top every time someone new posts.
