supercharged brz at the dealer

I stopped in at Carr Subaru today do some service and noticed a used silver brz with a huge price tag. After talking with the sales rep that sold me my brz, I found out it is a supercharged one. It has a vortech supercharger and a Perrin catback. So whose is it? And the price is decent considering it is a limited they are asking around 30k with 7k miles on it

Chen 11-02-2013 03:03 PM

You get to drive it?

Diode Dynamics 11-02-2013 03:04 PM

Did you take any pics of it?

It looks bone stock and didn't drive it cause the sales guy I was talking to got a customer. If you stop in and talk to Alex I'm sure you can get a test drive no problem. And sorry no pics phone decided it wanted to update my camera

BRZPDX 11-02-2013 07:50 PM

wow I wonder why he didn't part it out.

Gee, some folks really jump the gun on their mods without even considering the ownership of their car. lol

NickFRS 11-02-2013 09:39 PM

That's sad. Maybe he should have waited for the charger....

You never know what the man's personal situation was. There are a myriad of things that can turn your life and your plans upside down, cushion or not. I've been there..

Agreed, I'm Butthurt for the person who returned it.

Muskokan 11-03-2013 09:32 PM

Any warranty or promises with that thing? Obviously not from subaru but the dealer can't ask 30k for a car and it blows up 50 miles later cause little shit Johnny oil changer tried to tune it.

tech4pdx 11-03-2013 09:52 PM

Doubt you will get a warranty with an aftermarket FI kit. That car is for someone willing to pay to play.

I think I recall seeing a No Warranty paper in the window along with a certified preowned paper

ciro 11-03-2013 10:13 PM

That was just the sticker price...considering it has a 5k supercharger listing it at the same as a brand new one isn't too bad you could probably negotiate it down to around 26-27

supercharged brz at the dealer

Considering the cost of FI done properly with SUPPORTING mods to maintain reliability AND have some level of longevity including proper tuning AND potential support for multiple fuels, the asking price is VERY reasonable as-is. I'm not even factoring in labor costs by your local speed shop if you don't have the skills, desire or time to do it yourself. The cost of an FI kit is hardly your biggest expense. Just food for thought.

Hey.. Sorry to thread jack but do you still want my stock intake manifold? I realized I dropped the ball on getting back to you with a shipping cost. My apologies.

ciro 11-04-2013 10:41 PM

tech4pdx 11-04-2013 11:57 PM

It's funny they don't have any engine bay shots listed on their website, it might help buyers since it doesn't justify the $30k price tag.

It is safe to assume the sticker on the front windshield says "AS IS - NO WARRANTY"?

OMG BRZ 11-18-2013 12:50 AM

That is correct, It'd be nice if they offered a warranty.

BRZ Rocket 11-30-2013 08:42 AM

Since when are dealerships allowed to charge more for cars with modifications that they haven't even done, modifications that they can't even warrant, and modifications that they can't even service? Quite ridiculous if you ask me or anyone with common sense. We as drivers know that modifications done to our cars are simply $ that we won't see come back whether it be during resale or insurance.

Well how do you know this is even tuned at all? And its funny I bet they lowballed the guy on trade because of the mods and are now trying to get more than MSRP of a stock BRZ.

:bellyroll:

Funny thing is I'm sure they'll find a sucker
