Enkei TSP6 New Wheels

https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho...71823696_n.jpg

57Xtremes Gramlights alternative? I hope the offsets fit nicely on our cars.

Sizes: 17x8, 17x9, 18x8, 18x8.5, and 18x9.5.
Color: Hyper Silver and Gunmetal.

The gunmetal looks amazing. Anyone?

These wheels will be coming to SEMA 2013

MightyMeeple 11-01-2013 04:32 PM

I like what I see so far...let's see them mounted with tires on a twin. Any info on weight?

OICU812 11-01-2013 04:45 PM

Saw these on Facebook, final offsets offering will be interesting to see. Hopefully next week someone will have some pictures to share of them on our car!

mwjcyber 11-01-2013 05:03 PM

As of this moment, my favorite wheel.

"ENKEI WHEELS Offsets will range from +15 to +50."

Ya but what specifics to this wheel? I asked that and rep didn't know so hope there will be some firm answers next week. I agree very similar to a 57 extreme but probably no concave till 9" width?... Who knows...

hanabie 11-01-2013 05:43 PM

The above picture is 18x 9.5 Gunmetal. I like Enkeis. They are good quality and won't break the bank.

I'm interested in the weight too.

empower-auto 11-01-2013 08:12 PM

Gram Lights are not super expensive.

Ugh. Enkei ... y u do dis

hanabie 11-01-2013 09:59 PM

still close to 2k a set for 18x9.5 square

Firestorm_86 11-01-2013 10:02 PM

If they're not much more than the Bremmers and a good bit less than the Grams; I'm in. Especially if the offset is less than +40.

That was what I was trying to say. Most Enkei wheels price are in between reputable replicas and those imported wheels.

Firestorm_86 11-02-2013 12:19 AM

At $400 or so for the real ones. The Bremmers at $165 or so.... It'll be a hard sale for me at $250-275. I could almost get two sets of Bremmers. Since I'm not a hardcore autocrosser or tracker, the benefits of Enkei quality/weight savings are likely irrelevant for my daily driving and mountain roads.

It is not about racing to some people. I care about my car's look. Sometimes it is like why you are buying the brand... you know what I'm saying?
Don't get me wrong. I like Bremmer look, but I just can't live with the name and questionable chinese wheels. That is just me.
It is a tough question when you ask a girl why she is buying LV but not Coach. Stuff like that.

Branded wheels bent and crack too. I dont think you could say 400 for real ones. None of these are fakes. They are real wheels. It is the brand and color that you are willing to spend.

Id get varrstoen if I have enough money to drop on another set of wheels.

ZionsWrath 11-02-2013 03:43 AM

FUCK

if these come in 18 8.5/9.5 +45 like my Raijins, I just found my new set of wheels

Don't get me wrong, I'm in it for the looks too. But if it's just looks, its hard to overlook wheels that you could have two sets of versus one. Enkei is obviously the more prestigious brand, I'll give you that. But not everything Chinese is bad, Apple products anyone? The computer you're using to browse these forums? There's no bad rap on Bremmers yet.

Also, I think they might be Korean. Hyundai, LG, Samsung?

hanabie 11-03-2013 12:25 AM

Ditto :) I almost went with br10. Changed my mind and got myself work kiwami.

But the gunmetal finish is too good to pass up. They look diff from grams and br10. I love enkei hypersilver finish. Really love the finish. I was going to get silver grams initially.

Any updates on the wheel from SEMA?

mokytron 11-07-2013 11:26 PM

if you think about it, these are nothing really super new from enkei considering they have been offering the gtc-01 for a while, which is similar to these minus the concave

The new catalog is out.

No Enkei. Don't emulate. Innovate!

GH05T 11-13-2013 04:36 PM

they look more like the Wedsport SA60M replicas

FT-86 SpeedFactory 11-13-2013 05:41 PM

The one on the wall with the concave face was the +15 5x114.3 we were told. I don't see the +45 option for us being very concave faced. :(

Damn with all the 86's on the floor and the parking lot and a best spocom award 2 years straight, why aren't Japanese companies making more rims in sizes we want? They're just leaving the door open even wider for Taiwanese (and everybody else) knockoffs to come in with the same design in more aggressive fitments for half the cost. I'm no fan of knockoffs but if theres only one company making exactly what you want, first its a no brainer, and second I dont even know if its accurate to call something a knockoff if only one company is offering exactly what youre looking for.

Nevermore 12-22-2013 02:50 AM

Crap, I kind of like these a lot. I wish they came in black though. I'm thinking black looks better on Hot Lava. I wonder if 17x9 is a waste on a DD? I've researched other 17x9 wheels and it looks like they fit without issues?

OjiGeorge 12-22-2013 05:52 AM

45 offset, no good. Why you do this Enkei? :/

ZionsWrath 12-22-2013 06:13 AM

8.5 9.5 +45 is good enough for me !

sevi21 12-22-2013 11:18 AM

these offsets bring a tear to my eye...had so much hope

ZionsWrath 12-22-2013 12:43 PM

What did you want

Expensive is a relative term. If gram lights weren't expensive, other companies wouldn't be knocking off their design and selling them for less, you know?

I think gram lights are expensive, personally. Do you get good quality at that price point? Absolutely. For me, daily driving does not require the performance such wheels would deliver. That is why I have no problem picking up a set of rota SVN's that are a rip off of volk's re30 design.

I feel it is the same for cars... the FR-S is a bargain car, not a high spec street machine ala supra or even s2k. I bought an FR-S because I quite frankly can't purchase a cayman, which for me is expensive but for others "isn't a real porsche."

:threadjacked:

So yeah... good move enkei, keep doing what you do! Decent quality (if unoriginal designs) for decent prices.

Did you just say an s2k is more of a "high spec street machine" than a twin? Dafuq you smoking?

I'm smoking reality. The s2k was an example of awesome engineering- the NA vtec 2.0 liter pumping out (for the time, and even now) fantastic power. Twitchy to the point of dangerous. Fun to drive, sharp as knives, and actually pretty quick in objective tests.

On the other hand, the twins are not "high spec" by any stretch. Fun? Yes. Well balanced? Absolutely. Quick? Ehhhh... if you squint your brain, sure. Pushing the limits of engineering? Not by a long shot. They don't have a fat, flat torque curve, nor are they peaky pocket rockets with redlines in the stratosphere. They don't have loads of grip, and weren't intended to. These are fun, unadulterated toys.

If you want to call a twin "high spec" or "a race car", you need to do some heavy mods. Well, in my opinion anyway. Also, less like opinion and more like fact- a stock s2k of any year will beat a stock twin around pretty much any track- even if they have the same compound tires. Then again, the s2k wasn't a bargain car.

So in 17x8 5x100 these wheels weigh 19.8 pounds...in case anyone is still wondering

Nevermore 01-28-2014 02:47 PM

Really? That's disappointing, I was hoping they would be lighter. I wonder how much more the 17x9 weigh...

Thanks for the info...been looking at these and fearing the weight would be close to 20lbs.

Still would love to see them mounted on a twin.

raul 01-28-2014 03:34 PM

Enkei needs to stop fucking around and give us the GTC01RR.

They're Tuning series, not Racing series.

JB86'd 01-28-2014 03:55 PM

Yep I was fearing the same thing, I was hoping for 18 pounds or less but expected more because they're tuning series. With a 225/45-17 pilot super sport mounted you'd gain 2 pounds over the stock setup. Bummer because these rims are everything I've been looking for :(
