Is this a good deal for a new FRS?
Hi all.Planning to buy my new car.. And right now I'm stuck in the whole FRS or BRZ predicament..
I got an offer from a dealer for a new 2013 White FRS Automatic in south Florida.. MSRP: $27,916 Price: $24899 OTD -$27960 Is this a good deal? Firstly I think the msrp is lower than what he tells me. Next with that car price, $3k more sounds llike a bit too much even calculating in tax and tags (6% tax). I'd love any feedback. Having a real hard time deciding what to do. Thanks all. |
Well what options does it have?
|
Its pretty stock as far as I can tell, with the base radio unit. I'm wondering if its possible to get them to put in the 2014 touch screen unit.
|
$25,000 would've been a great price 6 months ago. Not sure about their current values. They used to be really hard to get. I had a hell of a time just scheduling a test drive. I would think they're more readily available now though, and so their value should be slightly less because of that. Purely speculation.

Yeah at least around here, I haven't had any trouble test driving or finding them in lots.
Also.. My mistake the car had the older bespoke touchscreen ( which I read stinks ) |
Before you make any final decisions, you should talk to this guy: @HeubergerMotors
|
Hueberger eh? Cool thx Anthony.
|
Yeah, his name is Clint.
|
Yes, talk to Clint.
At the WORST you can use his price to leverage a better local price. I got a 2013 Limited BRZ for about what you are paying...and I got 0% interest. Oddly, there are 3 local Subaru dealerships...2 mark stuff way up over MSRP. 1 Usually settles between invoice and MSRP. On the 2013 they priced it a just barely above invoice. |

oh the 0% interest I got was the dealership paying my interest essentially.
It is 0% interest, but only if you do a 36 month loan. SO payments are "high" but I am paying 0% interest. Also to US buyers...do not pay more than 2.9% interest. That is the interest that Subaru offers. My particular situation/dealership was offering a discount on the 2013's because the 2014's just came out. Before I found my deal...I was looking at the FR-S...but with "pure pricing" I felt I could do better with that local Subaru dealership. It is "Mike Scarff Subaru of Auburn, WA" if you happen to live in Washington state...I would suggest at least looking them up. I was pleased with the buying experience. |
Oh yeah...
If you live in an area that is marking up the MSRP...it is totally worth a plane ticket and a road trip back from Colorado. I would have done that if I did not find my deal. As I said before...at the very least check out Heuburger (spelling) website if a local dealership is really just a stealership. |
