10-Series in an Abandon Parking Lot

Re-discovered an abandon parking lot around where I live today. Used to be a movie theater. Only had my iPhone on me - someday I'll take a real camera. Just got my winter tires and wheels on.

Looking good. What winter tires did you end up getting?

Man, we would *KILL* for open pavement like that to practice drifting on. Sometimes I really hate this tiny island.

Nice car. The terrain complements the color really well.

Blizzak WS70s and some cheap Pulse (Belle Tire brand) wheels. It's not really cold enough for them yet, but since it's Michigan, it'll be 50 degrees one day and you'll have 3 inches of show the next. Took it out on some moderately twisty roads yesterday and they definitely have a "spongier" feel than the stock Bridgestones mine came with.

That's why I thought of the place at first, but turns out there's tons of crap on the ground - plastic, glass, big-ish rocks/gravel. Just driving it to get it in place for the pics made me feel a little uncomfortable. Otherwise it would have been perfect, there are trees so you can't see it from main road and there are these smaller roads that curve around the main parking lot that would have been amazing to slide around.

Those are some nice looking wheels for your winter set. I just ordered my winter set online at tirerack last night, but I went with the cheapo $58/each wheels with the $37/total hubcaps, lol. Even with the cheap wheels, my total still came out to $1,180 :confused0068:

Yeah, I still wanted something that looked decent since they'll be on my car probably 4 months a year. I considered just doing steelies, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Plus, I got the tire/wheel warranty through Toyota for 5 years that covers any wheels and tires I put on it for replacement as many times as I need. So assuming I hit a few massive pot holes or curbs with the winter ones, when they replace them it's a better value than if I had gotten the absolute cheapest ones. Same with the tires. Mine came out to $1430, not including a $70 rebate and a free "Performance Jacket" from Bridgestone.

If you park your car in an abandoned parking lot, is it still abandoned?
