Would Nitrous Oxide System (NOS) work with the BRZ or FRS?

I've been reading that a Turbo version of the car won't release for quite some time. Anybody thinking of adding some extra HP using NOS??

S2kphile 04-15-2012 07:32 PM

And so it begins...

Nitrous will work on anything if installed and used by someone who knows what he is doing. Dan

GenkiElite 04-15-2012 07:38 PM

Yes

ZmZMWagon 04-15-2012 07:38 PM

But remember this, one wrong mistake and kaboom. Dan

S2kphile 04-15-2012 07:45 PM

To OP: NOS can work with any car system with proper installation.

Just don't be the idiot that tries to install NOS to the fuel tank like some idiot tried to do on HONDA TECH years ago.

blacknbean 04-15-2012 07:46 PM

nos is cool until you blow the welds on your intake

Ya know, the best way to install is to pour directly into fuel tank

It's threads like this that make me afraid of the insurance costs on FR-S. NAWWWWWSSSSSSS! I say go for it. Some of the BRZ guys will be looking for a FR-S front clip.

BootpTraphik 04-15-2012 08:10 PM

Keep in mind, NOS is just a brand name, like Oreo's are cookies. What your looking for is N2O.

If someone has to point that out then perhaps N2O isn't for you. :)

More specifically, N2O is the chemical combination for Nitrous Oxide.

So everytime someone has a question on the forum that might have been discussed before, there's always those people that say "use the search function!"
So if I use the search function and find a thread, but want additional info or wonder if anything new has happened in the meantime, should I resurrect that old thread, or make a totally new thread so the same people can say "use the search function!" Truly a dilemma...LOL

Back to the fu#% Nitrous question, I am bored so I ask nobody here have used Nitrous? if you are dont let the haters discorauge you from talking about it. Now the hipe is Turbo everyone whants Turbo... Hella, JDM, is my car if I want to go get lost in china town and get triads to shoot my car and blow it up I will do it... lets go NOS!!!!! I am!!!

kombatlion 01-07-2014 08:52 AM

I want to be different I will have 194 Na, plus 50hp Nitrous Shoot so when I find me a Turbo on the street and he decide that he is going to score on me I will rape him and he will cry about how he spend $6k and get beat by me!

Is just like beating a Genesis a S2000 370Z or a 350Z, there is always someone with more money and power but 250whp is good enoug for me to beat some and have fun...

The turbo user will be laughing at you every time you have to change your plugs from using spray.

Jajaja Probably! But still I will have fun with it!

OjiGeorge 01-07-2014 10:10 AM

Just poking the coals here...

I'm turboing or sc next year (hopefully sooner), and have never had a nitrous setup, but used systems can be found for cheap, nozzles replaced, and I'm just plain curious.

Assuming that the car already has a full exhaust, panel filter, and a proper dyno tune.

How much extra work would be required for a 50 shot dyno tune?

What safety mechanism / shutoffs /gauges would be most recommended for a setup?

Ryuu0u 01-07-2014 10:13 AM

150 shot should do it. Just make sure double clutching and not granny shifting and you'll be fine.
