I'll ask my tuner, he was saying something about the EMS4

carlossanchez89 10-29-2013 03:33 AM

there's nothing wrong with the ems 4 but if you can get the infinity one you will be able to tune better

I've got the Infinity in the office, and it's not ready for the FRS at least. No DI compatibility, DBW features are still not fully functional on the FRS side. They've got the 350Z stuff figured out and the GT86 is in the cards, but not as of yet. 2JZs, LSs, no problem. DI FA20, whole nuther' story. :)

EMS-4? I haven't counted it all but chances are, you won't have enough inputs and outputs to run everything plus it will still have to run in conjunction with ECUTek to control your tach and especially for the DI portion of things. If it was as simple to plug in an $800 ECU with a $300 harness and wire it up to tune it, it would have been done long before now. :)

I will say that a big player in the EMS market will be announcing a really, really worthy PnP EMS for the GT86 THIS WEEK. I saw the tuning interface and it is really, really going to be super slick and undisputedly AWESOME. :)

Watch this space soon!

Have you considered the Element Tuning Hydra EMS?

It is also a standalone, and already is set up for our DI/PI.

My previous dealings with Hydra has been lackluster, though admittedly, Phil G is probably the most seasoned Hydra calibrator out there. Outside his car, I don't see anyone else with it.

Haltec's solution is easily a year away, even if it's been announced and I'm sorry - unlike others, I had really bad luck with their solutions. ViPEC purportedly has one in the works, might see it sooner than later?

This next offering is available NOW, ready to go! *Fingers Crossed!* :)
