EXTREMELY limited green Raceseng Apex R shift knob anyone?

So I've been talking to @Raceseng about possibly having a green Apex R shift knob made for myself. The cost of the anodizing process would be $200, which would mean I'd be spending like $300 on a shift knob if I were the only one to get in on it.

I have to say that out of all the aftermarket shift knobs this one is by far my favorite one.

I can't see spending $100 for a shift knob though. If price could get down below $80 I would get one.

Well the hypothetical green one is at $295 right now, so not quite there yet.

anodize it yourself

If there's a solution for an automatic I'm in.

What would I do with the chemicals when I was done?

There is. And I wouldn't think it would affect the cost of the anodization process. @Raceseng will have to let us know.

There would be a cost difference because the automatic adapter is different but I will waive it in this scenario. I'd rather get some of our shift knobs in some people's hands to experience!

The quality on these is absolutely outstanding just like everything else Raceseng does. We got a bunch here and I have a hard time just leaving their parts in the boxes, so damn nice!

Here's what I'm thinking. Roughly.

@jeffs42885, are you super cereal? Say in the event it's only me and you, going halvsies on the $200 anodizing cost? I'm really hoping to get a 3rd person, but really don't care if we get any more than that. I'm totally fine with $161 for a gangster ass knob that's only 1 of 3 in the world.

I don't get it.

Anthony 10-28-2013 01:14 PM

Haha um... I don't know how to make it any clearer.

Solid chunk of aluminum...that's gonna be real nice feeling in the hand when it's nice and toasty outside.
