enkei wheel dilemma

Having a hard time choosing wheels. I've got it narrowed down to either enkei nt03 or everyone's favorite rpf1. Problem is I love the look of the sbc. I wanted to go with a 17x8 however the rpf1 is currently only available in 17x9. So question is how much of a difference does the 17x9's change the acceleration, and handling compared to the stock feel. If it changes it dramatically I'll probably just do the 17x8 in flat black and get them powder coated later on down the road.

There really isn't much difference between 8" and 9" besides having the ability to go with a larger tire in the future, especially if you plan to go FI in the distant future. Powdercoating wheels is not quite recommended because the shop that does it for you may not have the proper method of painting your wheels. There is a concern for heat treating wheels properly and whether or not it will affect the integrity of the wheel.

My powder coater is one of the best in the business. He has a contract with remington and does wheels for several semi companies. I trust him. I just didn't want to drop another 300 bucks on powder coating right away after spending over a grand already just on the wheels. Which may not be a lot of money for some guys who are already dropping 3-4 thousand just on wheels but its just not in my budget.

That's what it was.

Sorry, I just got my 18x9.5 +40 nt03's in SBC and it was on the mind.

Get the 17x9 if you're going RPF1.

The 17x8 RPF1 is fugly convex spokes (Apologies if anyone with 17x8 is offended, this is my opinion.).

To me the RPF1 is a function > form wheel. I wouldn't run it daily, and the 17x8's spoke design clears some BBKs like AP Racing's.

17x9 +35 clears as well. :)

ill add this just for your consideration. If your not tracking the car, the differences although noticeable, wont be game changing. What im saying here is, you should probably go with what your personal preference is!
