Aerospace 303
Does anyone know if you can use aerospace 303 on the clear bra?
|
Aerospace 303 is for fabric type material. If you had a convertible soft top, that's something you would use it on... or fabrics often used in boating.
For clearbra, just wax it. edit: God, the internet is frustrating... Yes, Aerospace 303 can be used for many things, and many more if you're creative, or worse.. pedantic. Sheeeeeeze! |

http://www.303products.com/303r-aero...5f188131a2504c I use it on door and window seals. It can be used on a clear plastic bra but I'm not sure why you would do so. |
do not get it on your gauge cluster cover (clear plastic). It'll eat it up!. I had to polish mine out. It's great on the rest of the interior though (plastic/vinyl). Great for tires - just the right amount of shine, which is basically none.

303 is good stuff, just not on clear plastic or glass.

Misinformed? I use the stuff... I suppose I could be spraying it on the wrong stuff... Now where did the cat go!? Here kitty kitty, I want to protect you from the sun!
It's safe for leather, does that mean if I sprayed it on a cow it wouldn't get sunburned? I guess everyone here lives in the desert as nobody has mentioned water yet... Quote:
Here's what we get out of that link: Quote:
I used 303 on my S2000 soft top, dash and seats but it's no friend to the rain. It was a great idea for protecting from UV sure, but the moment it rained hard in Seattle it all washed away. That was when I learned of the 303 "Fabric Guard". Vastly superior for that application. My experience taught me 303 AP is useless on clear bra vs a good synthetic wax. It's good for all of about 1 rain storm. When it comes to spraying stuff on the ball joint boots and CV boots, I'd focus on a product that has a focus on repelling water as UV rays are not what dries out that rubber. (hint: that rubber doesn't see the sun) |

Ive noticed my rubber door/window seal shows a little wear in some places. Is there any recommendations for a protection? Is Aerospace 303 the way to go for this? |
I drove home in a rain storm. A 45 min drive. The black trim I treated did not wash away. I think you just have a bad att. Rice_classic

Use Plexus on your clear-bra. It works great.
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Vega-Plexus-Spray-Cleaner-Standard/dp/B002MQCYO0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382972937&sr=8-2&keywords=plexus"]Vega Plexus Spray Cleaner - 13 oz Can (Standard) : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame] I Use 303 Aerospace protectant to detail rubber and plastics in the engine compartment and Mothers Back to Black for interior and exterior plastics. |

use a clear sealant for your PPF I like Opti SEAL or Opti Coat. Some "waxes" cloud the PPF.
Cheers, G |
303 Aerospace has no petroleum distillates, safe on plastics, rubber, vinyl etc. been using it on gauge clusters since 2004. However plexus is easier on clear plastic to get looking good. Used it on 3M clear bra as well. Just makes it slick for the most part.
Best interior dressing bar none. |

Never heard Plexus 'messes up', but it is made for plastics. I've been using it on my Ferrari clear-bra for 3 years with no ill effects and others in my car club have been using it longer. In the end... use what you are most comfortable with. |
I use 303 on my tires, window seals, tail lights etc. but not on my xpel clear bra. I use xpel sealant on my clear bra. http://www.xpel.com/product/xpel-ppf-sealant-16-oz/
