pedantic
Misinformed? I use the stuff... I suppose I could be spraying it on the wrong stuff... Now where did the cat go!? Here kitty kitty, I want to protect you from the sun!
It's safe for leather, does that mean if I sprayed it on a cow it wouldn't get sunburned?
I guess everyone here lives in the desert as nobody has mentioned water yet...

Here's what we get out of that link:

Caring for it is so simple from using a wax to a product like 303 Aerospace Protector (303 AP), which I have almost devoted myself to using on all rubber vinyl and other surfaces. And in the tests I do, it seems like the perfect product for applying to the 3M clear bra for keeping it slick feeling and looking. 303 AP has been used in my other articles, on CV boots, rubber seals, and ball joint boots. Since I have started using it on many of these parts, the rubber and vinyl still have the same flexibility of new parts.

It's pretty much just "hey dude, use this shit, I think it's awesome!" I mean, that's fine and all but I'd say that article is "misinformed" when it recommends using it for the clearbra. It doesn't even take into account 303 is a shitty water repellent.
I used 303 on my S2000 soft top, dash and seats but it's no friend to the rain. It was a great idea for protecting from UV sure, but the moment it rained hard in Seattle it all washed away. That was when I learned of the 303 "Fabric Guard". Vastly superior for that application.
My experience taught me 303 AP is useless on clear bra vs a good synthetic wax. It's good for all of about 1 rain storm.
When it comes to spraying stuff on the ball joint boots and CV boots, I'd focus on a product that has a focus on repelling water as UV rays are not what dries out that rubber. (hint: that rubber doesn't see the sun)
