Minor dings on hood

Was getting into my car today and noticed two minor dings on my hood, about an inch or two apart. They are not deep and can only be seen on an angle but it's enough to piss me off. Is it possible to push these out with some type of pressing tool from the underside of the hood? Anyone have any experience?

AGH! ACORN SEASON! Yeah, I feel you...I've got a handful of the same type of dings in my hood and roof. Pissing me off like crazy. Unfortunately for me, the ones on the hood are exactly where the skeleton of the hood is. This is where/why I'd get a carbon fiber piece for my car. See if there's any reputable PDR guys in your area and get some quotes.

I didn't even think about that but now I realize I parked under an oak tree for a few hours last weekend. Just my luck, I need to inspect the rest of my hood, roof, and trunk now too. :banghead:

I definitely feel your pain. My neighbors oak tree overhangs my entire driveway so I have no choice. I wouldn't park mine in the street due to the fact that I live next to a high school and when those kids get out they treat the local roads like it's a free track day. Can't win.

I garage park mine every night and always in the driveway which has no trees over it. I leave my car exposed for 2-3 hours and this ish happens smh. Hope I can diy it.

As long as the paint isn't broken any PDR guy should be able to massage these ding completely out. Probably looking at around $100.

I know it's fixable with pdr, trying to avoid paying someone.

Can we not look at the underside of the hood ourselves to find out if we will have easy access to push the dent out?

Be very careful with this DIY idea. Aluminum stretches when it dents. DIY dent repair is definitely not recommended. Pushing it out from the back will likely produce an ugly pimple in place of the ugly dent. If you do it wrong then the PDR guy can't fix it either after you screw it up.

Get the job done professionally or leave it alone.
