I received this message tonight and I would have looked in the manual what it means.... But I unfortunately do not have the manual accessible to me at this moment. If temp has n e thing to do with it... It was +1 Celsius outside...
.

Can someone please let me know what th is means. Thanks!

This message came up as soon as I started my car. I was not doing anything in particular

I have an aftermarket head unit in my DD. By default, it wouldn't play video if the parking brake wasn't engaged for "safety purposes". Looks like there's a problem somewhere in the circuit that involves your parking brake.

If it doesn't allow you to watch video without the parking brake engaged, you can buy a relay for a few dollars and solve that problem.

that message came up as soon as i started up my car (sorry i probs should have mentioned that in the original post). I was not trying to watch a video or do anything really..

I would assume the wire connecting the park brake sensor isn't being earthed correctly or come loose.

Yeah, but it would still instantly detect the problem.

Yes, that's what I was thinking too. I'd just take it to the dealership if it's convenient. Otherwise, I'd start taking things apart and checking connections.
