How to upload a photo.
 

I have been trying to upload a photo for my avatar. Keeps saying that the file is to large. How do you make it smaller on a Mac??

Be sure the long side is only 135 pixels, or less.

Haha. I was going nuts trying to resize some pics for the same reason but I wasn't going to admit it and start a thread. I'm using an iPhone 5. I figure it's probably really easy, so I'm NOT going to ask for help... :-D

Just use any photo editing software and reduce its size till it fits the picture frame....;)

Most operating systems have a photo editing capability built in.

The irony is, Mac's are marketed as being the great graphic design/video super heroes.

If you're still having trouble with it, just post it here and I can do it for you. I've got nothing better to do. If it comes down to that though, upload it here on the site, not to Photobucket or anything like that. I'm at work and those sites are blocked.

And @NWFRS, every time I see your username, I think it says NSFW.

What does NSFW mean?

Not safe for work. There are several "NSFW" threads on this site. You could probably do a search and get some exciting results.

Yeah. I just think of it as an alternative way to spell "boobs." So one could reasonably say I keep seeing NWFRS's username as just being BOOBS.

What the hell was I thinking with "Anthony"? I could have been BOOBS. It's probably still available.

Go to pixlr.com, then express settings, then there's an option to resize your pictures in there. Save it and then use it here. :)
