I've been experiencing that problem too. How do I reset the mechanism if the window doesn't go down (because it's frozen?

Unfortunately, resetting requires that the window be unfrozen..........

Mine finally froze last night, time to disable that POS option once again.

Mine have frozen 3 times now in Moncton: twice two weeks ago in the frosty mornings, and again last night.

spent all of 2011-2012 winter without a single hickup

last night first time weather dropped into the negatives and it already got "stuck"

gonna clean my window, clean the rubber seals, apply some sort of jelly/protectant and see whats up.

sad panda

Had it happen two nights ago when the temperature dropped quite a bit from when I started work to when I finished work. A little snow brush action and a little warming up did the trick. As long as you can get the window down, you can reset. With car door closed, lower the window to the bottom and then raise all of the way and hold for 3 seconds - voila - all good.

You don't want anything on your window glass. That will get onto the scraper/seal and then your side window will always be messed up.

Use silicone type spray for rubber seals on the door seals. It soaks into the seal and won't mess up the glass. Be very careful, what you put on your window glass as once ya contaminants get onto the scraper/ seal at the top of each door it is a rpita to get it cleaned off.

Aerospace 303 on the door seals.

easy fix parking the car for the winter dont want any salt on her anyways. playing in the snow could have been fun tho

You need some spray silicon or tire shine (same thing really). Think of it as putting lip balm on your car. It's cold, so the rubber will dry out and when it's dry and tacky, it will stick to the glass.

would Armor All do the same thing?

Yes, it's silicone based. Makes things shiny and slippery. I'd use Aerospace 303 if you can find it but Armour- all would work on the door seals.
