Projector Fog Light Housings vs Reflector Fog Light Housings

A vendor asked me to test these on our vehicle. They are high/low beam projector fog lights. I have not made the plug and play harness for the high beam so I don't have those photos yet. We've been a little busy. The difference is pretty clear.

In the pictures, I have to note that the vehicle was on a lift.

I'm trying to get some lose ends tied up before SEMA so all the specific harnesses will probably be on delay. I'll contact TRS for all of that most likely.

These are how the hi/lo projector lamps using the HID bulbs shine

With this new design, you dont need to buy bifocal bulbs, the mechanical flap can control high beam or low beam.

Hmm that's pretty cool. Drop in replacement for existing fogs? What's the end plug? H11? What kelvin available?, definetly wouldn't want any yellow in the mix.

ucsmfu 10-24-2013 11:26 PM

Definitely interested

Fits factory location, H11 bulb fitting, 4300 / 5000 / 6000 /8000 Kelvin rating available.... This manufacturer just sells the housings.

The pictures were 5k with 35 watt ballasts.

hi and lo beam fogs? that i don't really get. wudnt hi beam fogs b similar to headlight low beams? are cars r pretty low. plus I've never heard of that function in fogs

PhastekSport 10-25-2013 01:23 AM

No, they will still blind people because of the angle. Just think headlights but lower.

Basically some people love to turn the night into day. I'm one of those.

The lens is glass. Since you have a BRZ, you'd need to get the H11 to 5202 plug adapter to make it plug and play.

This is Opie's picture of a BRZ converted to H11 from another thread. Note this is not the same housing. Just gives you an idea of what you would be working with.

Pricing will have to be reserved for a sales thread. Let me get ETAs on the products and pricing.

EDIT: Please let me know the interest for high / low beam vs just low beam.
