How bad is neutral drop rev launching on the tranny (AT)?

it is horrible, if you must launch an autotragic transmission foot brake it so you can reach the stall speed of the converter then sidestep the brake pedal...never neutral drop anything you aren't trying to break...EVER

You must be 16. I did that when I was 16 in a 86 grand am. That's so bad. Go to the Autocross sub section there's a thread on how to launch the autotrans

You will break the ever loving shit out of your clutch packs, screw your 1st-gear up, and have fairly significant odds of blowing it all the fuck up in a glorious KABOOM.

Im 24 and no I havnt gone full retard. I did however do it a lot on my auto RSX when I was 17 and never had any problems.

You dont get a better launch off the neutral drop anyway....

Did it with my Audi A6 4.2 quattro. Fried the transmission and cost me damn near 2 grand

If it's at certain number of RPM's, it'll do significant damage. Sure, you could of done it and got away with it. I mean i could screw a girl without a condom and not get her pregnant.


Honestly though, put it in R for Racing.
