Still happy with this exhaust manifold? Durability is ok?

I'm thinking about the MXP UEL header, but doesn't seem like many people on the forum have opted for the MXP stuff...

Thanks!

Still absolutely happy with the manifold. It's been through last winter, rain, and is daily driven. The power is noticeable, and is more than enough for a daily driver. Not many people have these (or they haven't posted about it), but it's a great deal. I was sent a revised overpipe, and it does look like it has much more clearance than the original, but I have not switched it out with my stock overpipe. I only wish it was a touch quieter, but any header will be pretty loud.

MXP is very popular on the nissan/infiniti platforms. their stuff is on a lot of 370z, g37s, even a couple gtrs. Mackin Industries makes quality products.

I've seen lots of reviews re: nissan/infiniti applications, but was curious about what they made for the twins.

I guess I was also kind of surprised that these products aren't more popular considering that quality, and the fact that you get the overpipe included for not all that much more than the borla (or at least less than buying a borla and someone else's overpipe separately).

Cheers!

The reason people haven't talked about them is because they were on backorder for such a long time. Most people would rather go with invidia or something than wait for something not proven on our platform. Make no mistake, lots of people are running this setup..they just don't talk about it. You don't find these for sale used for a reason lol. Everyone wants to keep theirs!

Actually there were 23 headers in stock that just came in when I was at their facility. They sell out fast. ;)

Lucky! When I ordered my headers, I had to wait about 6 or 7 months. Only reason I waited so long is because I knew it'd be quality and would match my exhaust.

MXP has officially released the UEL version of this header - It is not even on the website yet.

Here is a couple of photos of a Polished one we have at our place - We installed 3 so far and are very impressed with the gains and the Sound.

The UEL also includes the Over pipe and for the Price of this with the over pipe you can no beat it.

Quality, fitment, Sound , Performance all 5 Stars from us

@fteightysix would it be safe to run this with out a tune? For the price it might be worth having for some extra fun while I save up for a FI build ;)

Any review on durability yet? Curious how it would be over winter. Thanks

So far, the header has been great, no issues. They still sound great and improve power and torque overall (especially tuned and most felt in the former torque dip area). I've moved from Baltimore to Boston this summer and now am experiencing more of a "true" winter. We'll see how it holds up after this season and the massive amount of salt they use up here (seriously...no joke). But daily drives for the past few winters have been issue free. I haven't done a detailed once over lately, but they still look good, a nice gold tone and only a bit of surface discoloration/rust(?).
