Running rich
Don't stone me I've been looking and haven't seen an answer... I'm getting the running rich code after my injen install. That means I'm getting to much gas and not enough air right? As soon as I reset the ecu the car runs beautiful then a month later it will happen again any advice would be appreciated

Get the car tuned or get rid of the intake. Case closed.
Come tune it then
As soon as I get my stimulus package Lmao...how much would a tune run
There are a few options out there now. Unichip being the cheapest, but it's a piggyback, so I would recommend the open flash tablet (OFT) or an Ecutek e-tune from one of the vendors. Look in the "software tuning" sub-forum, there is some good info in there worth checking out.

Did you follow the instruction? is there any gap around the map sensor? are all clamp tie enough? maybe you should try to contact injen for best solution, they supposed to test out this product before release it.
OpenFlash is only $500 and you get a fancy little screen that can do things. But it also wouldn't hurt to double check those sensors, especially if you've got exhaust stuff too.
I called sent pictures talked to people and the same results...no exhaust just the intake... I may just save the headache and dump it
It probably wouldn't do a whole lot without exhaust anyway. You could probably get more out of a tune alone than just an intake. I say keep it and get a tune too. And exhaust.

Where to go for that 500 open flash

I don't know how you could miss it, but just in case you have, there's a bat-shit-ridiculous wealth of information on it spread all over the place. It's actually pretty overwhelming how much information there is.
See this forum: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=88 I like it because it's sort of like a piggy back in that you can flash back to stock and the dealership won't know the difference unless they reeeally dig, which they never will. Plus you get the tablet itself, which is hardware you can use to data log and see live information about your car. Probably similar to the Torque app. |
I have that app lol thanks man
