Mr Mcoupe "Dog Hoarder"...
Seriously great shots and some great dogs, but holy crap man how many dogs do you have? I assume you work with a rescue and are just housing them? |

My Rescue BeBe, was getting gas at the local Shell, This Jackass comes in and drops 3 puppies on the counter and says take them or I'm gonna toss them, I took the one that fell off the counter the only girl. So I took her to the vet and had her spayed and chipped and shots done. We were wondering what BeBe is so we sent her saliva in for a DNA test. She came pack as a Pincher / Pit-terrier. This is when she turned one on April 1st, gave her that day cause it was the closest day to the range the vet gave me, that and it's my brothers birthday. So here is BeBe.

BIG Pets in Back seats??
I'm sure some of you who have been on this thread have noticed the Subaru Dog commercials that i posted earlier (if not, go back and look at them). But this leads to the reason for my write up. Is the FR-S/BRZ "pet approved" like other Subies are?
My dog was not harmed in this test, I would never want nor approve of animal abusive so I drove way below speed limits and hit the brakes cautiously as I made slow turns through traffic. I would not suggest this for long drives or taking fast highways (safety reasons). I am not responsible for interior damage nor injury to you or your pets, so please proceed and drive with caution! --------------------------------------------------- I decided to take my dogs to the park the other day and thought I'd test the FR-S's folding rear seats to accommodate my medium-sized German Shepherd-Golden Retriever mix buddy. (If you're dog sheds alot I'd suggest bathing or coming your furry friend before entering the vehicle) What i decided to do before I allowed my buddy into the back seats, was to lay down a bed sheet or some form of comforter as to minimize clean up and have some kind of mattress for the pet to lay or sit on. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...at122505AM.png Lead your buddy in! http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...at122605AM.png It's always best to lower the windows and turn on the A/C to allow ventilation since the back can get pretty warm according to your weather conditions. Now to latch your pet's leash on the baby seat belt located next to the rear brake light. I'd suggest placing it on the passenger's side as to 1) not allow the pet to get too close to you when driving, and 2) be able to turn and see the current condition of your pet. Dont tighten the leash so much as to give them a short end. You want them to be able to move but not too much, make sure the collar won't come off while driving. Give the pet a few seconds to get adjusted before setting off. (NOTE: I didnt think of this until during the experiment, but it's best to have some kind of blocking device right behind the driver and passenger side so the pet wont slip or jump forward) If well trained (or lucky) the pet should be in this position: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...at120530AM.png OR Preferably laying down like this: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k2...g/Untitled.png When Driving: Obey all driving laws. The most important thing is to make sure your buddy is safe at ALL times. If there is any adjustments needed safely and carefully pull aside and take care of them. Hopefully this write up helps someone, or if you would like to add or suggest something feel free! Post some pics of your Pet in the car! Enjoy! |
