So, you agree it's NOT a restriction up to 300 HP, but then it IS a restriction at the current power levels(around 200 HP)? I'm not following your reasoning. All of the "cold air induction" systems pull air from the same spot the stock snorkel does, so the air temp is going to be the same. I have ambient air temp & IAT displayed side by side on my Torque setup, and they usually run within a couple of degrees of each other at speed. I don't see where a CAI would improve that to any measureable degree.

Does anyone happen to have the part number to the snorkel?

as they research? hks buy .... we cut OEM snorkel, snorkel or OEM is good?

wow, great post.
in summary, seems like cutting a slit along the 2 resonators at the bottom of the snorkel is better to capture the incoming air. maybe just removing the two small resonators help with restriction ? IMO, with headers and exhaust, a modifications on the intake (decrease the resistance) will not only help the engine breath better, will enhance the exhaust sound. |

I trust aces engineering for sure but cutting up my own snorkel seems like a good way of undoing some very expensive engineering.

Bump for Radiator ducting/intake info/pricing.
