Stray cat issues

So a stray neighborhood cat loves sleeping on the hood of my FRS mainly because I come home late and my hood is the warmest spot....so I thought! It sleeps on it even when the engine is cold! It leaves tons of hair and dirt all over my white girl....that's her name :)

So any way to repel the cat? I don't want hurt it, just nudge away from my car.

Edit-parked in a covered car port/neighbors

sprinkle red pepper on the hood.

Shoot it with an airsoft gun.

Cats hate anything sticky and they won't go back if they find it. So spray some diluted corn syrup on the hood and rinse it off the next morning.

Adopt it!

Feed the cat then brush it. >.> Cat's diet actually changes how much of it's hair is falling.

I have a similar problem with neighborhood cats walking on my car at night when it's wet from condensation. I wake up and go down to my car to see muddy cat prints all over it.

Very nice when it happens 2 days after I wash it.

Feed it and take it in to live with you. That's what I did to a cat that kept coming to my yard and didn't run away when I approached it.

I sprinkled chili powder around my car....I hope it works!

Don't want to risk scratching it....I sprinkled it around the car very liberally

I heard that cats are repelled by strong citrus odors. I don't know if that's true or not. Anyway, just hit the local pet store and ask the professionals, pet stores carry products for everything. :-)
