Air suspension or Coilovers?
Ao was looking at the airlift suspension, which i love the idea of that for the street, smooth ride, and better clearance for bumps, potholes, etc.., but for the occasional track day?
According to them, it works on the track well. So what are your thoughts. My last car (C6 vette) had the mag suspension, and that allowed street/track adjustments on the fly, and it was real nice to be able to drive around on street setting, smooth ride, etc..but then click to track and get the tight, stiff handling. I mostly drive on street, and plan to start tracking once a month or so, maybe a few extra times in the summer. Thoughts? |
If you can wait I will have the Bilstein Damptronic shocks that let you switch settings like the MR shocks for street/race sometime after Nov for around $3200. Doesn't give you lift but they sure ride and handle great.

Yeah, not in any hurry, just looking at some ideas for my winter projects..I know there are alot of options for coilovers, really wanting to know peoples thoughts on the air for the track.

I really like the adjustability of the air, for raising the vehicle around town while driving. I was looking at adding a front splitter soon (APR) and rear diffuser. and really dont want to bash/tear that thing up.

Get some decent street/track coilover and you can put some cup kit on top of that.

Bags are for groceries....:bellyroll:
just had to let it out |
Those kits are more ideal for the show guys who want to slam it to the gorund in a parking lot, then air it up to cruise.
Not really ideal for a guy looking to do track or autocross. |
