First 86er DD/HPDE weekend warrior

Well I'm one of the first 86 contest winers. I took delivery May 8th 2012, raven/stick shift. Other then taillight condensation I've had no problems to date. I recently got hooked in the track/hpde band wagon.

I'm undecided on adding know shocks to the springs I already have in my garage or go coils. I don't want more then an 1.5in drop. My driveway an most of Portland is to steep for that shit, even with going up/over stuff 1 tire at a time.

Also can't decide on a set of rims I want. Has to be light weight but I want a crazy color like dark purple.

Anywho, more to come.

I love the video. I really want to get into that stuff this summer, but haven't a clue where to start.

Careful with tracking the lowered cars, if you do that. Those axles :(

Ha true, ill go aftermarket for axles. Just look for track events posted in NW section. That's how I got into it, there is a group of us that go! Lots of fun.

you're gonna have to call me over the next time you detail your car. so i can learn how to wash/wax properly. lol. i still need to do that 4th brake light mod.

Lol it's easy just time consuming! I still have spare sockets and bulbs for the 4th light too. @indesign

Can you post some side shots with the rally amor mud flaps? I have a pair for my forester and I love them.

Ahhh. Okay. Love the Berk setup with that deep rumble! Made a few videos on youtube with just the muffler delete and then with that and the front pipe from Berk w/o the cat.
Tomei sounds good too but really expensive and I prefer dual exhaust. To each their own I guess.. Looking forward to your future builds!!

Needed help getting it out of the drive way but once I got her to the main roads driving in the Ice was easy. Love how controlled drifting is in the thing.
Also installed my catch can. Pics when she thaws. Hks filter and intake heat wrap coming soon.

Love the build, it's cool that you're willing to modify a relatively significant car (2nd sold ever in the US). How are you liking the APR front splitter?
