Massdrop, where have they gone?

It seems that every single thread they started is deleted and I cannot find anything in the forums on this vendor.

Does anyone know what has happened?

I participated in a groupbuy and have not heard anything. Now I am starting to get worried as it looks like they have been wiped from the board.

Shoot them a pm. It says they were on yesterday.

That usually happens when their vendor account lapses. I've seen it occur with other vendors because an automatic payment didn't happen. . or the vendor just decided to stop paying for vendor status. When that happens, the admins delete everything. While I can understand locking threads, I think deleting everything puts those users that have current in-flight business with the vendor in a bad position.

Or they reached their post limit for the month. I guess there is one of those for a vendor as well. They had about 6 threads going. I got a PM from them a day ago about the side skirt issue. They are still here. Just got to wait until their month post limit is up or something.

This is something we have asked for. The forum has the ability to lock a thread (it's still visible, but you cannot add more replies to it) but instead they deactivate threads, which make them disappear and say "invalid" if you try to access the URL. Maybe this is because they put a monthly limit on the number of threads a vendor can have open simultaneously.

www.massdrop.com in case you need to contact them directly.

Yeah. . it's a major inconvenience for users on the forums especially because there are sometimes posts that contain some good information. You get lucky and Google may have the page cached, but I've never been to a forum where they just didn't lock the thread instead of deactivating it and locking out all the information.

I know a trick to look at deactivated threads but you need tapatalk. You can look at the thread on your phone through the app even though its inactive.
