Headers for under $300, NEW??
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tsudo-Scion-...a59766&vxp=mtr
Personally I already have Borla UEL headers, but I was shocked to see such cheap prices. Thought this would be perfect for someone that is really going for an extremely low budget exhaust setup. I use their Catted Downpipe and I've had it on for 8 months, no rasp, no cracks/rust, welds are good. Anyone running this? Any reviews? Someone with a little spare money test this thing out haha post a vid. More interested in the sound it would produce over any performance gains. |
i've never seen that until you posted it, but tsudo makes some good stuff for the money. their catback is one of the best available for the 86 imho. not sure how customer support would be as i've never dealt with them, but for that kinda money i'm sure someone will try it out and let us know.

catless, not really what I was gunna do, but someone really need to test this
|
Maybe I went full-retard but I can't tell for sure if those are EL or UEL hahaha
The design is a little odd too. The pipes merge before going to the collector, is that a flow restriction/disruption? Can someone a little more engineering savvy chime in here? |

RUN AWAY!!!!!!

Someone see if you can actually buy these for that price. Last cheap Ebay headers that were talked about all had their transactions cancelled and then were relisted at a much higher price.
These are obviously not a top quality product, but it's easier to consider the gamble at $280 than $400+. If Ebay parts are your thing. |

*note, yes I know my maths don't add up, header design is complicated enough that 175% seemed reasonable. |
Tsudo = Made in China.
Also, I heard of horrible horrible customer service. & from the website, "Reviewer: Alejandro Paredes from Thousand Oaks, CA United States Pipe almost seemed like it was a little short. Using the center hanger point as a reference, the pipe could have been like an 1/8" longer both fwd and back. Front cat side gasket (football) that comes with the kit needs to be trimmed to fit under the heat shield on the overpipe. Also, i had to reuse the stock hardware for the rear flange. It seems that the springs that come with the exhaust are a little too long, couldn't get the nut to bite on the screw with the pipes clamped together. Other than these minor issues, welds and materials look great for the price you pay! I would buy again." Why would you have to trim it?!?!?:barf: Anyhow, this thing might go along with you get what you pay for category. |
Tsudo has been knocked off since the dawn of time. Cheap Chinese crap.
When I was young and dumb I purchased many of these kind of products off ebay looking at price only. Quickly I was disappointed when the exhaust rattled apart ending up costing me far more then $1200. |
