DIY Tapturn Flasher Install with Strobe Option
first off I would like to thank @scottmcphee from tapturn for making this a reality..
BEST USE WITH LED TURN SIGNALS Go to Page... @ scottmcphee If you have done or replaced your flasher already, you will not need these DIY for this is an actual PLUG n PLAY product. Here is a pic of the new flasher http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ps56e46f3a.jpg compared to stock http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...psc8a414bd.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ps2371f2f6.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...psdb43f20f.jpg |
for the Install, pretty straight forward
you can reach under the steering wheel to install but Im showing you guys where it is located. first I pull off the side panel on the driverside http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...psb0c68e62.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...psebf148df.jpg |
there is A screw inside the panel and underneath the dash right below the ignition.. remove them and gently pull back the under panel

now you can see where the flasher is. I use a small screw driver to unclip the flasher from its mount.. you stick it in to unclip its from it mount and push from behind towards the rear of the car.
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ps58a4cf5b.jpg unplug the stock one and plug the tapturn flasher and your done |
end results, click on image to see the video
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...ps5fdcdf98.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...psbdc54996.jpg keep in mind you can use this as regular Tapturn flasher and has the function as the regular flasher, you just need to swith it off, you can also flick a switch to where these function will only work with the car OFF |
Photobucket sucks, videos are slow..
|
looks cool though

This is a 120 second mod. Lay down under dash with flash light. Disconnent cable from stock relay. Use a cable tie to secure the the new relay leaving the stock relay alone. Plug in harness. It doesn't need to be anymore complicated than that ;)
