When's the best time to buy a 2014 Subaru BRZ?

Hello everyone! The title is pretty straightforward but just in case there are any questions regarding my concern, I am going to buy the 2014 Subaru BRZ but I'm not sure when is the best time to do so. I know there are sales and opportunities in the winter but, should I wait until New Years to February to purchase the vehicle? Sadly I can't purchase my vehicle online via Heuerger due to my parents' conservative iffiness when it comes to buying products online. I am putting 80% of the down payment and my parents are only helping with about 20% so that I can quickly finance the car later on. Nevertheless I digress, is November the best time to purchase the vehicle or December, in terms of discounts/sales/clearances?

:offtopic: Out of general curiosity which exhaust systems do you guys prefer in terms of having little to no drone yet sounding throaty when on throttle? I've came across and seriously considered the M7 T-Titanium and Ark GriP / Ark DT-S. I've heard the Invidia N1 in person and do love it but it does drone on the highway, which is what I'll mostly be doing so... that'll be a pain.
Other than that, :thanks: and enjoy your 86's!!! :party0030:

Why not look for a deal on a 2013?

Apparently there is no difference at all between 13 and 14 models except for the AHA radio (unless that is what you want) and some minor rebadge of the steering wheel and key fob. I'd say go for a 13 you'll have more negotiating power for pretty much the same car.

You don't really "buy it online" with Clint @HeubergerMotors, you just get the price online. The extent of my "online" dealings with Clint was "What's your price?" and his response. Every thing after that was straight up 100% the same as every other car purchase I've ever done. You still do every bit of the paperwork on old-fashioned pen-and-paper just the same as any other "normal" car purchase.

I do get there being some apprehension if you were to have the car delivered... you're buying a car totally sight unseen at that point. Easy solution there is just to fly out to Colorado. Clint will pick you up and everything. A $200 plane ticket to save you thousands on your car. Doing that makes there absolutely zero difference with the "normal" way of buying: You come in, sit down with finance, do all the same paperwork, sitting in the same desks, he even gives you the same tour around the dealership he'd give locals (if you want) -- just 100% the same as if the whole "online" thing didn't exist at all. Only difference is that I was in an out in less than 30 minutes, whereas every other vehicle I've purchased took hours at the dealership.

But, if all that is truly out of the question, then there is no "best time" to buy outside of waiting until the end of the model year. If you were in a place with bad winter weather, cars like this tend to be easy to buy in January when no one can drive the things, but in a place like SFO, the demand is going to stay fairly constant. And given what I've seen some dealers are trying to charge in the Bay Area for BRZ's, I wouldn't be holding my breath on getting a good deal anytime soon. Clint however is apparently offering his 2014s for at or below the already-outrageous price I paid for a 2013 just a couple months ago, based on what a local guy who I referred to Heuberger said he was quoted.

Couldn't of said it any better myself thanks for the continued support

I am in Okinawa, Japan Clint and the Heuberger Team have made it a super easy process. I will always buy my new cars this way. It is so much better then going into other dealerships and getting the run around. Again this was the easiest car purchasing experience I have ever had.

Love that HST! :mad0260:
Which dealer did you go to? The one I dealt with only offered $1000 off the 2013 or 2014.

Im waiting to buy in April/May because saving up for bigger downpayment and also dont want my first few months to be in the winter...

But come April/May Clint will be getting a call from Spc2125 for a 2014 Limited BRZ. WRB.... of course

I'm skeptical at first about it, but there are just too many positive reviews about Clint and such that how could I possibly say no to saving thousands on a car?

Plus, I can't say that I have read one SINGLE bad or even neutral review from buying from Clint. All were SPECTACULAR, BEST EVER, OUTSTANDING, FAST AND EASY.

If I were you though and your parents are helping pay for it I would do whatever they say... don't argue with free money! .... which is why we go to Clint :p

Best time to buy a 2014... When the 2015s start coming out.
I agree with just getting a 2013, they didn't even fix any of the issues with the new model, chirping, tail light condensation

This.

Also, why are your parents chipping into the down payment when you're talking about what modifications to install on the car? If I were you I would just take the mod money and put it into the down payment of the car and keep your parents out of it.

Just my $0.02, enjoy your car.

Haha, the only reason my parents are chipping in a little is that they're afraid that I won't be able to handle with financing it alone. I'm planning to leave everything stock except for the exhausts (for the sound and "placebo" HP gain) and what not until I finish financing it. Thanks for your input.
