New Zeek Snorkel Systems from Japan
New Zeek Snorkel Systems from Japan
Available in FRP fiberglass or CF Carbon Fiber Options: Sound Tube Extra Here is a new product Zeek that we are carrying from Japan. Air duct for FR-S / BRZ routes fresh, cold air to the stock intake box by collecting air from the grill of the front bumper and directing it over the radiator and into the intake box. This prevents the intake from ingesting hot engine bay air and ensures the engine operates at peak efficiency with the best intake air temperature possible. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psabf691cf.jpg There are many design considerations when developing an air intake system for street and race applications. The process is complex when peak HP numbers are not the only goal; a properly designed system will maximize torque and power throughout the RPM range. Consideration should be given to system volume, air inlet temperature, filter construction, sound and wave characteristics, system weight, and final fitment. Zeeks High Performance Intake Systems incorporate all critical design criteria and as a result they fit perfectly, provide maximum torque and horsepower across the entire RPM range, and allow the driver to experience the engine note without being overpowered by extremely high sound levels. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psb9d8723f.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps03e9834e.jpg (DYNO SPECS) http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/mm...00001/86-6.jpg |

Pricing is up Phil! |
Would these be compatible with the AFE Takeda Type 2 intake that requires the removal of the stock snorkel?
|
Is there an option with a snorkel delete?
|
Sound tube thinggy?
Really? meh |
interesting
|
Curious if this would benefit us vortech guys. Wonder if this would enhance the flow without getting in the way of the intercooler as much. Opinions ??

Evasive I want this like this week! Are they in stock? I'm in SoCal! Pm me please
|
Requires removal of the bumper foam???
|
couldn't find any info about the option to eliminate the sound generator? i feel the carbon intake tube would keep cooler than an aluminum one but i don't need the sound generator to stick around. any info?
|
Well the foam is a shock absorber and helps the from fascia hold shape from flex under high speed I'm sure but I'm sure you can fabricate around it? It's just foam.

Got mine soon to go in the car :burnrubber: big thanks to Randy and Dennis at evasivemotorsports. You guys are awesome! Dyno pulls soon to come! Not expecting much gains on the dyno but should get something.

Musta broke the dyno...LOL

No needed a wheel alignment will be on the dyno Tuesday. The car feels great sounds a lot better. Really busy as of late with work and other car ventures. Will post pics soon and hopefully get some improvements on paper by Tuesday.

Looks like you need a tune. Pretty sure all intake ducts mods for this car need one otherwise it will mess with the MAF a lot which is probably why you lost torque.'
I doubt the companies that sell the ducts that have them dyno'd (syms & zeek) didnt do it without a tune. I honestly would go with the Syms/Sard or Zeek intake pipe or drop a ton of cash on the GruppeM if I stayed N/A. But wouldnt modify the intake until I do headers/ front/op / cat back / tune. |
So you said the car felt great before you dynoed it. Would you attribute this to the 4 HP you gained at the very top of the RPM band, or the drop in torque across the entire RPM band? Just curious.

Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? LOL
|
i'm wondering if they are others with this intake air duct. chime in please ^_^
|
I had a guy pick one up today to work on his TRD intake.

question. is there a difference on the dyno between the tube that connects with the sound tube and the one that does not? I would imagine there is less turbulence with the one that does not connect to the sound tube...

I think I saw Kakawate had this for sale in the classifieds a while back. Hmm.
