Padded knee pads
For those of you guys who have, or have installed, the new padded knee pads I've got a few questions.
1. How does it feel? 2. Is there significant amount of padding? 3. Is it worth the money? 4. Would you recommend it? :thanks::cheers: |
1. No real difference.
2. Not really. 3. Yes, JDM points! 4. Most definitely. Overall, they class up the interior a lot. |
I wonder if the JPM coachworks pads are a bit more functional. I want something that will actually be soft.

I made my own knee pad and wrapped it in felt...looks factory and is actualy soft.

1. How does it feel?
Not thick enough. More comfortable than stock. I used to have a sore right knee everytime I drove for over a half hour, now it doesn't bother me. 2. Is there significant amount of padding? No. It is exactly the same amount of padding as the arm rest on the door. Not enough padding IMO. 3. Is it worth the money? Ehhhh, not really - I would go with JPM if they are offering padded versions now. The JDM pieces are very expensive. They add a lot to the look of the interior though. Depends how much you think they are worth it to you. 4. Would you recommend it? I like mine, and I tend to forget about how much I spent on things. It's a minor thing, but better than stock. OEM parts are expensive. Do yourself a favour and check out JPM first. |
Thanks for the input guys. I'm not looking for looks, I'm actually looking to get some cushion for my knee. I might just have to figure something else out. :thanks:

Edit: now that I think about it, may try to get some extra cushion under. That would be nice. |
I love the JPM Coachworks Alcantara items. The Knee pads not only look much better but do have some cushion. I think it will all depend on how long you legs are and where you place the seat adjustment to determine if your knee will get the full padding or not. I also got the door speaker covers along with the instrument cover. It makes the car interior much more tactile and they match the factory stitching perfectly. Like all accessories it depends on your priorities and what you can afford to make the car the way you really want it.

I just installed my JPM knee pads yesterday. There is a good amount of padding and it deff helps. Worth it IMO.

hahaahhah  |
I installed the JDM knee pads last week. They don't feel soft to the touch, but they are absolutely more comfortable and were at A+ upgrade. I would definitely do it again.

got the knee pads today and cluster from JPM, they're A+++++++++++
