Mod that I never thought I'd want: a horn

Some people can't drive, err make that many people can't drive.. And when I honk, it sounds like a vs bus "meeep".. Not very intimidating. Anyone upgraded their horn? A semi-truck horn would be pretty fun I think ;)

Hella supertones! I did it myself, very easy. Even easier if you buy a harness like I did so everything is plug and play.

What you want is an old GM 4 note horn setup, check ebay.

Should sound like a mid 80s Cadillac.

You don't need to remove the front bumper to change the horn.

I spent $15 on some OEM type twin horns by Bosch which are just as good as the overpriced Hella junk, and don't look so rice behind the grille either!

That's almost helpful. Got a link to the exact part or a part number for frs/brz? Does it just replace the stock ones? How do you install without removing the bumper? Is it louder than stock horns?

Thanks! I really want to upgrade my oem horns pretty badly

Just pick a vehicle you like the horn sound from and keep an eye out on ebay for a bargain.

You can access the horn from under the vehicle, you just remove the front undertray/ducting to get to it.

lmao the train horn pranks got me laughing, but would start way to much shit around where i live. will our car alarm be the train horn when installed? +1 security effectiveness if so!
