Grimmspeed license plate relocator fitment

So i bought a license plate relocator off of amazon and they shipped me the hyundai genesis one. Kinda mad cause the return label they're giving me isn't including shipping (even though shipping was free.) Now my question is will it fit my fr-s. Grimmspeed says it won't but doesn't want to tell me or anyone why. I called auto zone and they said all cars with the exception of trucks is a 3inch and 2.5 tow hook size so it should work. What do you guys think??

its not going to fit, i tried my friends genesis grimmspeed relocator before buying one lol

and just contact them, its their fault for sending wrong item, unless you ordered the genesis one o.O

Thanks man, it was partially my fault for not double checking. I think ill sell it on cl or something unless shipping is cheap.

Vincent, I don't know who you spoke to about this, but we're more than happy to help you out here. The reason that the Genesis kit that you bought won't work is that the major thread diameter and pitch are entirely different. Additionally, the overall length of the bolt is designed to sit nicely with the bumper cover. The distance between the bumper beam and the bumper cover varies from car to car. These kits are model-specific and are not typically 'swappable'. The rest of the kit (plate, u-bracket, spacers and hardware) is the same.

Hope that helps!

Thank you for that, i spoke to who ever was on aim. They took a very long time to reply and seem to had very little interest in me. I don't know much about the specifics of car screws, and the likes but i figured it out after much research. Thanks, I'm willing to buy the kit but the 10$ shipping on top of the 80$ is very unattractive.

Vincent, thanks for the reply! Our replies on AIM are sometimes delayed because nobody here spends the entire day at their desk. We're all quite busy with a number of different tasks and it often means being out in the shop, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, quality control, testing, etc. I'm glad that somebody was able to reply, though.

Regarding the price, if you contact one of our vendors (RallySportDirect is great, especially since you're on the West coast), they may be able to save you a few bucks. Let us know if you have any other questions and as always, feel free to call (612-379-0000) if you have a question that requires a faster answer than email/AIM can provide.
