Squeaky clutch

Guys I am at 28k on stock tranny . I am not sure if there is a way to lib it or what but every time I push the clutch towards the end it squeaks. And I believe it's getting louder . Sound like dry spring or what not by the push rod that puts Presure on pressure plate :( idk wtf anyone have any input?

Thanks

Damn it's getting annoying lol
I think ill ride till it die lol

I am surprised this that the thing that push throw out bearing is squeezing so early or do you think it's the actual pressure plate?

I got a squeaky clutch today also, sounds like squeaky shoes! Kinda funny, harmless sound?

Harmless I think so but not 100 % sure cuz if there is the squeak there must be reason y .

If it's stock, why don't you take it to the dealer? You should still be under warranty at 28k miles...

radroach 10-14-2013 01:00 AM

Sure, but does anybody know reasons why the clutch is squeaking?

I have this problem too, it's hella annoying...

Do you guys think it's something that should be replaced under warranty? If it's not serious than I don't see why it would any of us should give our car to the dealer for 5 days so they can rip the trans apart...

Yeah that's what I am worried about. I am not saying the mechanics there are bad but I know some of them are careless and car will end up with another issue lol.

not an expert on these transmissions but it could be the throwout/release bearing. on my old car I had the same issue and I believe it was a lever rubbing against the bearing or something like that.

I've also had this problem for some time now.

Took my 22 month old FR-S in yesterday for squeak diagnosis and is throw-out bearing that needs replacing. Covered under 5 year 60K mile Powertrain warranty. I always put the car in neutral at lights and don't ride the clutch, in fact, my 93' Lexus SC300 5 speed made it to 110K mile before needing a new clutch. I'll update when work complete, but this isn't good for a car with 24K on it.
