Took my car to the dealership concerning the cricket noise.
 

Took it up there and showed them the toyota service bulletin about the cricket noise, which they claimed they never seen before and couldn't find in their computers. Tech said he didn't hear anything. as soon as I started up the car I heard it. Sigh.

Print out the service bulletin and give it to them. My dealership did the same thing to me initially. If they refuse to fix it or fail to fix it repeatedly, claim lemon law.

They wont fix this anymore anyways.

They printed it out after they found it and handed it to the tech who did nothing.

Toyota has released new notes that say do not install a new HPFP. They have decided to wait for new pumps before handling this. if you have non oxy gas in your area fill up with that and no more crickets.

Subaru TSB says counter measures are in production for HPFP. Check the TSB thread.

Mines been and still chirping like a SOB every sinces she turn 300+miles. I took her to dealership and they can't do anything for her right now but are aware of the issues. They told me to wait till there is a pernament fix.
