Can I map access in ECUtek without a tune file?

I got my car dynotuned at a shop and they probably lost my tune file. I haven't found any way to map access without a tune file. Is there a way around this?

Throwing it out there... Who knows, but have u tried doing ECU query and see if the result is a flash file of the tune in your ECU?

are you saying they never emailed you the flashed file? did they use your laptop to do the flashing in the first place? it maybe on there.

Hmm. Haven't tried that. I do know in between dyno runs, the tuner had to upload new maps.

They didn't want to email me the tune file for some reason. They used another laptop.

Of course. It's not like you paid for it or anything :bonk:

fucking strange.... did they give you stock files or anything? is it one of the vendors on here? I would say they owed you a re-tune and the flashed map.

Hey, any EcuTek tuner should provide you with a stock rom (map) and your tuned rom.

You do need a rom file (.bin) for map access and data logging.

Let me know if your FR-S is manual or automatic, and I'll email you the stock ROM for your FR-S. At least that will give you map access and logging capability.

PM me your email address.

You need to insist that this tuner get you your tuned ROM file. Wow.

This.... totally forgot you need that bin file to do logging. You can log a little bit with the stock rom see if you are knocking ect but the more advanced features you will need that bin file. To see things like the iam value ect.

Thanks guys. I have a stock rom file that I used. Some of the data is funky. The max manifold abs. pressure that it shows is 1.27 bar which is only like 4psi. Should be getting at least 9.1psi on the 9psi pulley. WOT ignition timing advance is reading 32 degrees. lol. I'm guessing the tune file has a lot to do with the correct readings??
