Invidia N1 Catback OR Perrin SS Non-Resonated

Hey all,

I really want an exhaust. I'm not sure which one, I've chosen two good ones that I love:

Invidia N1 Catback
OR
Perrin SS Non-Resonated

Opinions?

Any other exhaust mods?

The N1 is on the fairly loud side

Jstunna 10-12-2013 12:34 AM

If I had the money id go with n1

akahenry 10-12-2013 12:53 AM

I'd go with the N1 as well, but since there is drone during the 3K-4k's, I'd go with something else like an Ark catback or the M7 T-Titanium. They're costly but they sound great and don't drone! (These are all my opinions!)

Are you basing your exhaust on sound, style, performance, or cost?

If just between those 2 exhaust I would persuade you towards the Perrin because I like the way it looks more.

Get the N1! Had it for 1,000 miles and it's well worth the money since it's a bit cheaper. It's not loud as people say it is but that's just me haha

Just got my Perrin resonated installed and went on long road trip, sounded great with no drone.

Perrin Resonated, especially if you plan on getting a pair of headers. Originally I bought the non-resonated version and then I bought headers which made the exhaust sound raspy. A week after the header install I ordered a PERRIN resonated midpipe to fix the problem

Which was louder, non-resonated w/stock header or resonated w/header?

I think the resonated with the aftermarket header was slightly louder. It absolutely Sounds better. If you are anything like me I wanted to have the loudest exhaust I could get from the start within reason but after my experience I would suggest a resonated setup with an aftermarket catless header.

Thanks. I'm thinking of getting a Borla UEL + resonated midpipe setup, but don't want it that much louder than my current non-resonated stock header setup.

I'm basing it on sound and cost :P Except cost isn't really a problem :D

go invidia n1 :)

i must say that invidia made a fantastic product.

i have had my exhaust for over a year now and there is no rusting or rust spot issues what so ever on the exhaust canisters, or piping or tips.. fantastic sound and value for the price!!

mikeg7827 10-27-2013 09:41 PM

i went under my car today after my car wash to just simply wipe down the exhaust canisters with some ammonia free window cleaner for a nice shine and i was like.. holy crap its been over a year and a descent winter and there was no rusting what so ever.. was very surprised as ive owned tanabe, greddy and hks exhausts and those all had some sort of rusting... but invidia.. nope!
