Turn signals flashing too fast after installing TOM's tails

As the title says my car was rear ended so I changed tail light to TOM's. The emergency flashes at a normal rate but the turn signals are way to quick. I checked all the lights and the wiring and it all seems fine.

Any input is appreciated.

Did your tails come with the LED flasher that goes under your dash? It sounds like they did not otherwise you would've mentioned installing it. That is why your tails are hyper flashing.

What mfbmike said.

No they just came with a rely asides from the lights.

So with what you said in mind that's not a problem then?

The LED flasher relay needs to be installed to prevent them from flashing too quickly. Check my build thread, it has a link to a DIY to install the relay under your dash.

beware when you install them , you will have blood dripping down your hands and may need a chiropractor after it from the awkward bending... make sure you disconnect the battery harness before install to prevent any popped fuses like i did and it caused the whole car to shut down and not turn on until i found the problem... just be careful =) and yes you def need the hyperflash relay

Hmm, I didn't discinect the battery. Just popped out the stock one and threw in the new one. No problems lol. :iono:
It is always a good idea though when doing anything electrical to disconnect the battery first.

Didn't disconnect anything either.

Airbags can be very sensitive at times to changes in voltage, not that changing a flasher should cause any problem, but you can never be too careful.

And I thought I was the only one who had a tough time getting that SOB relay out. There was blood everywhere...
